All time Top 5, IMO. Every, and I mean every scene, is a masterpiece.

I can’t remember if it’s episode 10 of season 5 or season 6. I’ll try to say this without spoilers. It’s the one with the big scene in the Sept. The first 15 minutes of that episode might be my favorite thing I’ve ever seen on TV. The way it was shot was masterful along with the perfect score. I don’t think I breathed watching it.

House of the Dragon is out. So you can go straight into that after GOT.

Honestly, the way the OG ended, I just refuse to get back into the world again. Although I'm hearing good things about AKOTSK.

I wish HBO could just redo the last season or at least animate it so we get a better ending. Beinoff and Weiss really fricked everything for me.

Worth the watch. Entire different vibe than the OG. HotD is good also, sort of the same vibe as the original but in a more compact setting if that makes sense. Some pretty decent acting performances in it but some that suck also

Also if you thought it was hard keeping up with names in GoT, HotD ups that shite exponentially because everyone’s name sounds the fricking same.

The first 6 seasons were fantastic, but then the show got ahead of the books and the writing started getting sloppy and felt like they rushed a lot of things.

Season 7 and 8 were still good from a visuals standpoint, except for S8E3 needing to be watched in a pitch dark room because the episode's lighting is terrible.

If the basic info you already know about the show has you interested, then you will probably enjoy the show a lot. Practically all of the complaints about the show stem from when the show ran out of source material and the conclusion felt rushed because the show runners were trying to hurry up and finish GOT so they could move onto a Star Wars project (that was ultimately scrapped anyway)

Think of it this way....you're about to have one of the best entrees in your life, but the dessert is going to leave a lot to be desired and you'll finish a bad taste in your mouth. That said, the meal as a whole will be worth it and savor every bite of that entree.

The problem with the way I watched it (Binging it years later) makes the clear rushed conclusion of the series stand out even more. When going from episode to episode and not waiting long stretches of time for the payoff, the mistreatment of the final season becomes even more glaringly obvious

Thoughts on Game of Thrones:

I didn’t start watching until the summer of 2017 when season 7 was ending. I had back surgery and was laid up in the bed for 2 weeks. I binged the first 7 seasons in 2 weeks. I couldn’t stop watching. It was great TV.

I’ll watch it of course but if for whatever reason it didn’t air I wouldn’t really care. It’s shot well and acted well but the story is dumb and the characters are all unlikable. That they are all terrible people is consistent across all the books and stories so I really don’t know how this was chosen to be a show

People rag on the final season but for me it fell off a cliff in season 5. Loved the first 4 seasons though.

normally when I rewatch this I just go through the episodes I enjoy as a one off, but starting over from episode 1 and the first season truly is greatness.

First 3 seasons are as good as TV gets. 4-5 have great episodes and moments but the bad writing and warping across continent started to dilute it. 7-8 are awful but on rewatch you can enjoy it as comedy.

I loved it so much the first several seasons, but I hated the last season so much that after the second to last episode I was just completely done. I quit on it then. I've still never gone back and watched the last episode to this day.

I just did a rewatch until “The Children” it started to go bad long before I realized the first go around.

Hmmmm. Season 4 was the absolute best! 1-4, I'd give it a 10. I'd give Seasons 5-7 a 9. I only thought the last 2 episodes of Season 8 were bad. It was just rushed. That's what made it bad. Not who actually ended up on the throne. And the Targaryens had madness running in their bloodline. It wasn't hard to imagine Daenarys losing her ish!

Season 1-4 I'd give a 10. 5-6 and 9.
7 was meh and 8 was terrible. Season 8 was one of the worst seasons in tv history.

I disagree. I thought the Battle of Winterfell was well done.

It’s one of the most idiotic and retarded battles ever put to screen. Quite possibly the worst. There’s literally nothing about it that makes any sense at all.
