This is Us should probably end this season. If it did, it could be GOAT period TV drama.

The show feels complete. What else possibly needs to be explored that they won’t hit this season?
Kate gonna be fat forever.
Kevin internalizes paint on road to recovery.
Randall is dealing and coping.
Rebecca found happiness with Miguel.
Jack story complete. I seen enough.
I got enough backstory and closure. Emotionally manipulative show but good. I don’t need to know what comes next for them.
Their major drama was revealed and it’s been dealt with. Good story.

I must be the only one who finds this show meh. I liked the first episode and there were legit feels, but now it just seems like every episode is designed to wrench tears. I'm not into emotionally manipulative shows b/c I don't have a vagina. When I see all these people saying how mediocre an episode was b/c they DIDN'T cry, I know there is something wrong.
I'd definitely be ok if they ended it, but it's network tv and they're going to milk that cash cow. I predict most of this board will lose interest soon. I'm quite surprised that this many of y'all watch it to begin with.

They can only manipulate tears so long. I agree it should end. But we all know they’re gonna start doing forward flashes so we can see all the kids future deaths.

I have a wife and the show is well acted. I appreciate that from it.

My wife watches this and I’m in the room sometimes. Show would be bearable without the whale

You're not. Granted the only part I've seen was some of the post Superbowl episode. But I was like "this is cheesy and dumb." Written to try to make people cry and it was just laughable to me.

The show plays on people’s base emotions of time, death and loss that everyone can relate to. From that dialogue perspective it’s well written but I think it pushes the button way too often.
Personally, I think Jack is a bad father who failed to prepare his children for life.

Wife watches this and what I've seen is decent, good acting all around though I don't get all the accolades for the fat chick. She's super overdramatic.

That’s it. That’s the whole show. Nobody evolves, there aren’t new themes, just the same complaints and crying, week after fricking week.

It'll probably go for a few more seasons. The creator said he already has a plan for all of the characters and knows how/when it'll end. I don't think it's meant to last 10 years or anything like that.
