This Boston Legal show is pretty funny

James Spader & The Shatner carry the show. Candace Bergern is old and not remotely attractive so it is eyerolling when everyone is chasing after her in later seasons.
Spader was great in The Practice and great in Boston Legal. It can be a bit cheesy at times but I still had fun watching it all the way to the end because of Shatner and Spader.

I’m about halfway through season 4 and enjoying it. Saffron Burrows is smoking. Rhona Mitra was as well, but she left the show too early. Also funny how most of the hot button issues they talked about 20 years ago are still hot button issues today.

The writing of Boston Legal, I will stand by some of the best writing of the early 00s. David E. Kelley was hitting nothing but net. He addressed political issues without taking a side and despite being a silly comedy they had great moments of depth

Interesting timing on this thread - wife and I are going through a re-watch of this show and still impressed by the Shatner / Spader chemistry after all these years

The regular scene of them smoking cigars on the balcony is pretty nice touch.
