Saw a preview to this the other night. Looks like it may be pretty good. Still not sure it will be better than the original.

i'm sure it won't be. Kinda weird how the new Carolanne has the exact same haircut as the original but it's black instead of blonde.

Back in the day, yes it was. Haven't rewatched in a while so don't know how it holds up.

I recently watched a clip from the original the other day. Kinda freaked me out how much my little girl looks like the original Carolanne.

The original fricked me up mentally as a kid. Amityville horror and the exorcist were two others that were pretty scary as well

Poltergeist was really the only movie that fricked me up as a kid. Shining,Amityville,Nightmare on Elm,Friday 13th. All those didn't really phase me.
Exorcist fricked me up pretty bad as i'm sure it did most.

for whatever reason the dudes face melting bugged me the most, same in raiders of the lost ark I couldn't watch those scenes as a kid
