Serious question, does anyone actually watch this show? Only 37% of viewers bothered to finish the first season. It has zero cultural impact or significance. Other than occasionally being mocked on social media, I never hear a single thing about it.

Show runners have admitted that the first two seasons aren’t needed watching to jump into the third season.
Translation seasons one and two are trash, just ignore them.

That’s how I felt about wheel of time show.
Wheel of Time was terrible, but they also didn't spend anything on that. I've seen episodes of Xena or Legend of the Seeker that looked more professional.
Rings of Power, they put effort into some stuff... the (male) dwarves look great. The orcs look great. They actually found an actress with a pretty strong physical resemblance to Cate Blanchett's Galadriel.
They went out and got an accomplished composer to do the soundtrack, which is pretty good.
You could say they weren't granted a lot of access to Tolkien's work, but that's not true. He laid this story out in outline form in the appendices, literally all you needed to do was fill in the dialog.
It's insane how far they veered away from the original story; I honestly think the softcore porn parodies stick closer to canon than this show is.
