The War between Land and Sea. A 'Disney' Doctor Who spin off.

What:
Classic "Who" foes the Sea Devils make waves in this Doctor-less, grown-up drama series from the mind of Russell T Davies.
Who:
Russel T Davies wrote 3 of the 5 episodes of the short series. He directed none. It'll be released with 2 episodes, 2 more, and then the 'BIG' finale'. It comes and goes in just 3 weeks.
Released just before Christmas, leading up to...
Nothing. Because there's no Christmas special. That's not what Doctor Who does anymore, apparently.
Why:
No one cares why. Just shut up and watch, bigots!
Yet ANOTHER Brit YouTuber describes the sad state of the corpse that is current day DISNEY Doctor Who.

1. They haven't done that consistently annually since the first Tenant run.
2. News confirming there will be a Christmas episode next year came a couple months ago. It was posted here in articles also confirming Disney was ending its partnership. You ragehuffers ignored the episode news in favor of bitching and moaning about the Disney news, even though there's nothing you hate more than Disney.
3. Why does a Torchwood mini-series, what Davies has said this is, need to lead directly into an episode of Doctor Who? That's never been a doctor who thing, nor had that been much of a spin-off tv thing. This is not a genuine reason to be upset.
We all know your rage is manufactured. Disingenuous. Can't wait to see the negative YouTube reaction videos you post about this show you have no intention of ever watching.

Is it though? It all comes from the source of Doctor Who. The old school villains, the fact that Torchwood is ITSELF a spin off of Doctor Who...I actually LIKED Torchwood, watched it all, Captain Jack Harkness, Gwen, Owen, the the rest of the crew.. UNIT isn't Torchwood. Separate entities but both in the Whoniverse.
I was watching Torchwood well before this current day trash.

100% genuine, authentic and valid. They've killed the legendary series and buggered its dead corpse. Current day writers, directors and anyone involved in this modern MESSSAGING over clever and faithful treatment of beloved shows deserve to be mocked and ridiculed at every turn.
*RTD can say whatever the hell he likes, but any claim that this is a TORCHWOOD spinoff is coattailing at best. A synopsis of the show -
Plot and Setting
This miniseries is set within the Whoniverse and follows UNIT, a classic organization in the Doctor Who franchise, as they confront an unprecedented conflict between the land and sea. When a fearsome and ancient aquatic species dramatically reveals itself to humanity, it triggers an international crisis threatening the entire population. The story focuses on Kate Stewart and her UNIT crew as they attempt to prevent a devastating war between these forces, blending intense thrills with a realistic depiction of global challenges in the face of extraordinary events
We all remember UNIT's most recent appearance, right? With the comical wheel chair agent who shot rockets out of her armrest?

Ratings tumble after first episode, 770K viewers tune out for 2nd. This show is so dead.
And for all those crowing about how AMAZING 2.8 million views is, Eccleston had over 9.9 million, Tenant had 8.2 and even Capaldi had 6,8.
But it's a spin off... yeah, frick off.
This franchise and all that's associated with it are on the verge of being exterminated.
