not unless it was stocked.

A side point, since it appears obvious the zombies are in various states of decay, shouldn't that make the entire thing self limiting?

If they are decaying over at least a few months, seems the walkers will all be gone in short measure assuming the larger portion of the population was infected on the front end of Z day.

Plus, if the TWD zombies devour the living, it seems impossible that physically functioning zombies can exist long term. Assuming the physically functioning zombies are virus infected, they destroy their pray so no way there are new zombies being created that are a physical threat.
spot on. All of the Zombies will eventually starve. Which is why i see this entire series probably only taking place in a span of 3-6 months.

Quarries are not great at supporting aquatic life in my understanding. I brought that up to my girl last night. Its all rock. The bottom of the food chain cant get a foot hold in a quarry so real fish end up in there.

Them starving doesn't end the problem, it exacerbates it. They don't eat to function, they're ravenous.

if they do not need sustenance, they why do they eat?

having to versus wanting to is irrelevant. if they won't starve, will they not eventually decompose to the point where they cannot support their own weight?

because of the virus, it's part of the way it spreads itself

I don't know that this has ever been addressed specifically, but in World War Z, Zeds would walk on the sea floor and screw up the people on the water. And you know how water makes everything deteriorate faster.

maybe i'm taking this all too literally but...if they eat, they have to expel what they ingest somehow or they would explode. do zombies drop a deuce? if so do they bother to wipe? i wonder these things.

frick i'm a nerd.

I guess we'll worry about those trivial things in the event of a real zombie apocalypse

So if the white trash brother was reusing the crossbow bolts and shot that dude in the arse, shouldn't he turn? Obviously no way to be sure if it was clean or not. Just a nitpicking note I had.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

i noticed that also. the show kinda made a point to show him re-using arrows. so if shot with a used arrow it would seem logical he would turn, but the black dude said it was a slow process, maybe he will get sick with the fever and die, then turn. damn i love this show.

Great point! The Magic Negro said his wife got the fever before she turned. So this guy (the one shot in the arse with the bolt) may get sick and turn and eat everyone inside their stronghold.

All they have to do is hot wire another vehicle and drive 100 MPH and its only a 20 minute trip. No speed limit no traffic no lights.

Another great point! I could only imagine that the zom's shite their zombie pants Being all decayed up they probably can't digest what they eat. Some have their guts out so everything they eat probably falls out on the floor.

As for the boat topic. If you could get to the coats, get a big arse sail boat and head out to sea. Get far enough out where you can go to sleep and not worry about the boat washing ashore and no zombie 1000 feet below the surface can do shite.

And another thing. If you are going to stay on the main land and they can get to Tybee Island they could stay here

If you can block the entrance this place is zombie proof.

I think we are all over-analyzing the show a bit too much.

We have to keep in mind that humans make mistakes. Some will get it right on the first time (like the messicans) and some will struggle for a while (like our little heroes).

A zombie apocalypse is unprecedented in their universe. They probably didn't have the luxury of watching "The Walking Dead" to help them formulate this plan. You have to remember that while nerds like us (most in this thread) will have some kind of plan if Z day does come, the majority of humanity probably won't.

I think it's awesome to watch this show and be able to analyze human error. These people are fighting for their lives, and god forbid they made a few mistakes.

Not to mention the excitement mistakes add to this show.

I posted this link earlier in the thread but I'll post it again for those that didn't get to see it. These guys make our little discussion look like childs play LINK

OK so here is the next question! What happens if a dog walks up to one of the zom's and the zom gets a bite on the dog before it escapes. Does the dog eventually turn in to a dog-zombie that could run around biting people. I thought about this when the first zom got close to camp and was eating on the deer.....anybody....anybody?

From the scene with Rick riding into Hotlanta on the horse, there did not seem to be any contra-flow. The asian kid seemed to be flying in the challenger.

Ok the water thing has been bugging me. Even if they don't drown I sincerely doubt they could just navigate through the bottom. I mean if its a river or lake with a strong current they'd be carried away easily. They can barely walk as it is, the current would drag them away before they would get to the bottom.
