Pure survival should be the main protagonist now. There is no more searching for supplies. They are over 10 years in. All stored food, except MREs, are spoiled. They have to forage and hunt. That throw away line by Darryl that all the wildlife has been chased away is telling. They should have been culling the hordes this whole time (industrial combines and controlled burns). As it is presented, I don't see how they survive. There just isn't any food.

SPOILERS...

I couldn't believe they didn't clear that military facility. Crates of MREs. They had to take them all. But all of the weapons and ammo on the ground. That was a massive haul and they walked away from it? I was losing my shite..

yea that made very little sense. they've handled way larger hoards with much less tools/supplies/positional advantages. they could have cleared them safely from the cables using melee weapons for headshots to save ammo. they could even regroup and go back to it for before they said their stash will run out. there also has to be more goodies there too.

for our home team maybe, but theres at least 1 civilizations around able to raise a formidable army, effortlessly wipe out communities, also capable of mobilizing helicopters within moments of someone asking for it over a walkie talkie. Those civilizations are a bit past simple foraging for survival, they are conquerors.

yea their food is low but they plan to go steal back maggies destroyed community, im betting that is the main adversary/plotline this season. assuming the movie will be about rick getting involved as a result of the recapturing of maggies town which draws heat from those larger conqueror civs.

I am not sure where it goes. Obviously the Commonwealth can not be opposed at this time. They would just be too powerful. Our current group has no weapons. Their little fighting group has no rifles, armor or any kind explosives. I have no idea how they would take out the raiders, much less the Commonwealth (if it becomes a threat).

The one sniper guy had multiple weapons, some armor and grenades. They aren't prepared for that. It kills me how they are just not tactical and don't prepare.

I miss bitching about this show so much. I am so happy it's back..

Does anyone know of this will be the final season?

When the episode started I though “wow, finding a warehouse full of supplies and a shite ton of weapons and ammo will be a game changer,” and then they apparently walked away.

Like in the earlier season when they found a fully stocked and untouched convenience store. The one where the copter fell through the roof when the guy wanted a bottle of booze. That place would have stocked them up for a year, and they walked away.

And then the tunnel situation. Of course it would be full of walkers and blocked off in some way. That’s how tunnels work in the zombie apocalypse.

Getting from point a to point b in a world with no cars or people can’t require a trip through the subway, rain or not. Maggie is an unstable leader.

Okay, here we go. I didn't cheat, and people's reactions seem positive, so it should be good.

Wow, that wasn't bad. They actually did stuff this episode. And that ending was crazy.

This is shaping up to be a good final season.
