I wouldn't bother replying to that guy (Libertyabides71). It's obvious he doesn't plan to change his behavior. The only thing that will keep him from posting that stuff if if and when the mods take action against him. Otherwise, I think it's just best to RA when he does it and avoid engaging him in conversation.

Fair enough. It wasn't marked and I posted something. If its marked non-readers I won't post anything resembling speculation just reaction to the episode itself.

There ya go.

And FYI, there are lots of people who have read the comics around here...so you'll have plenty of people to discuss episodes with who come from your same knowledge background of the show/comics. All we ask is that you keep the discussions separate from threads with people who want to ONLY discuss the show (and not speculate on any single thing that isn't on television...even something as simple as a name).

To be fair, the first thing I asked Coon about this thread was why he didn't label it "nonreaders" or "no comics" or whatever...in seasons past, there are usually two different threads to try to avoid this very problem (it works for the most part, but still doesn't work 100% of the time).

FWIW, nothing that he posted (as far as "spoilers," by all definitions) was RA'd. So if those posts still exist, they should be RA'd and an admini can handle up on that.

This isn't a TWD fansite. It's TD.com. And maybe things are done differently than some of the TWD fansites. So either you're gonna have to accept that, or feel free to discuss the show on those other sites. However, if you would like to discuss it here then you'll have to abide by the way this place is.

hope i was not the cause of this detour of the OP....I'll take my view of TWD from both the TV and the Comic book to the official site.

Your stuff was gotten rid of quickly. This board has a thread where you can discuss that, though.

It was your stuff, but you didn't mean it to be spoiler-ish. Just remember to keep your speculation to what's already been shown in the show. The same issue comes up with Game of Thrones (although some of the non-readers there are so hardcore that they have kept a list before of readers, just in case a reader posts ANYTHING in a non-reader thread).

I have purposely not read the comics because I want to be suprised by things. When the show finally ends (whenever that may be) I will probably pick up the comics to see the difference in storylines.

Another reason comic stuff shouldn't be posted. Some people may actually read them at some point. Don't ruin it people

There's a thread for the comics stuff.

I was typing my last post when this was posted. I think it's a good solution. Whoever starts the weekly thread, just put non reader or no comic book discussion in the title. I don't know if it'l keep all the spoilery stuff out but it should help if most people abide by it

And it doesn't have to leave you out in the cold. There is the comic book thread. Heck, in GoT, our reader threads had just as many posts as the non reader ones, sometimes more.

There is a happy medium. Just needs cool heads from everyone.

For clarification, that list was created (and maintained) by a reader: Hugo.

Back on topic...
Overall I felt it was another solid episode. After being surprised with the first episode of the season and now this one we got last night I have a bit of renewed faith in the direction this show is heading.

I, contrarily, feel the exact opposite. I find this show boring to say the least. We're now in season 4 and all we get each week are overly gruesome zombie slayings (yawn) or boring one-on-one dialog between secondary characters. This show has no direction nor is there any single character who I care lives or dies at this point. The dialog is poor and the acting is mediocre. I maintain that this is one of, if not the most overrated show on TV. The only reason I keep watching is because I'm invested.

And no I'm not trolling.

There is always someone who will not be satisfied. All you heard through season 2 was its boring...season 3, not enough zombies. Season 4 starts off with a bang, and still, someone is here to complain. Just don't watch it.

this board is probably 80% comprised of people who watch shows they dislike, just to tell the other 20% that they dislike them

I think I have reasonable complaints:

* Non-compelling characters. Who is exactly? Rick devolving into a pussy? Who else...? Daryl's dirty arse?

* Recycled boring zombie action.

* Mediocre acting.

* Lackluster dialog (the backbone of any great tv show/movie - see Boardwalk Empire, Breaking Bad, etc.)

* No storyline. Governor is gone. New antagonist? The flu!

I'm not here to be the contrarian but the show is severely overrated. Like I said, I still watch merely because I've watched every episode so far. I just don't see a single literary or artistic element that makes this show "great".

shakes head but I made a promise to them on this very page.

If you didn't like the first 10 minutes of the episode then the genre just isn't for you.
