kept thinking don't they have grenades or fireworks? Throw some over the wall and the zombies should move in that direction.

I think the sewer tunnel introduced by Aaron to Maggie will be used to draw the walkers away.

Like a previous poster mentioned, they need to create a fully armored zombie killing crew. I picture a unit like the unsullied in GOT armed with shields and spears.

Nah, that's a pretty stupid way to look at it.

Yeah, I can tell you think that by your hundreds of keystrokes ranting on why something minute does not make sense.

Besides, on the post chain that I replied to, you seem like you don't even pay attention to what has happened in the show.

Sure, the horn went off and that's what initially attracted them in that direction, but once it went off they shou8ld've just wandered around bumping into shite for eternity.

That isn't how it works. Do you not remember one of the first mega herds we saw was caused by a helicopter flying over the walkers getting them moving in the direction of the farm? By your logic, they should have stopped walking once the helicopter was gone and our group would be living happily ever after at the farm. I'm glad you aren't writing this show.

Just because they arrive at a fortified city wall shouldn't mean that they automatically want to get in (in fact, they shouldn't even know what "get inside the wall" means...they have no thought activity).

Uhh, the walkers saw Rick run in (while loudly yelling attracting more, I assume), they have conversations on or right next to the wall, and Deanna banged on the fence to agitate them. The Alexandrians are clearly making plenty of noise to keep the walkers interested in trying to get into the town.

The unsullied are weak. The dudes from 300 would clear millions of walkers without breaking a sweat.

I think it was introduced for a future purpose too, but I'm leaning towards either an escape from town if it becomes overrun or a way for the wolves to get in.

I'm not sure they can climb? Stairs/ledges seem to be their weaknesses.

Here's how Glenn escapes. Step 1. Crawl/slither under the dumpster. Step 2. Find a weak spot in the dumpster floor, probably easy since it's likely rusted out. Step 3. Get into the dumpster, then open half to get on top. Step 4. Walk across the walkers' heads Crocodile Dundee-style to the fire escape we saw. Step 5. Wait on the roof for rescue.

I have only one problem with this theory - you are crediting Crocodile Dundee with the technique.
This technique was, in fact, originated by James Bond in "Live and Let Die."

They were dumb not to run up the stairs to the roof of one of those buildings in the alley, when they still had time.

Glenn was dumb not to do that, no way Nicholas was level headed enough for that, but Glenn's got a savior complex.

He should have capped him or fed him to the dead when in the woods during the platoon reenactment.

Just watched last night and read the last few pages here. My one annoyance is them not using gates or fences to their advantage. Why not just start stabbing the shite out of hundreds of walkers though the main gate while they're all just standing there banging into it like they used to do in the prison? That annoyed me.

You'd think Rick would have figured out how to used the walkers to his advantage by now. If they would kill the first wave, about 2 or 3 deep, they could keep the pressure off the wall. That could easily be accomplished from their perches at the top of the wall.

He said his intention is to have Darryl, Abraham, and Sasha lead those walkers away from the walls when they return. I'm sure they will kill off whichever ones are left once that happens.
