sarcasm, or did you not get his sarcasm?
I thought it was pretty clear we were both joking around. I even said she was 16 in my post, before I made my sarcastic remark about how old she is. But they do this on every talent show on TV. Any time someone on Idol is 16 or 17, you hear it about 5 or 6 times every broadcast.
And the question Carson asked her last night about what she would be doing if she wasn't on the Voice, her answer I could have given for her. It goes a lil something like this:
Carson: Blah Blah, 16, blah blah what would you be doing as a teenager, blah blah, 16, blah blah, come let me give you an awkward, way too long hug after this (oh wait, was that out loud?)
Danielle: Well, uhm, (twirls her hair around her finger and cocks her head to the side) well, I would be hanging out with my friends, and um, (what do I say here, I'm a boring little girl who has a deer in the headlights look to me) yeah, just hanging out.

All caught up... overall a boring week, no real stand out performances and a predictable (and correct, imo) result.

I think everybody left (outside of the Swons) are pretty even. More than anything, the winner will probably come down to song choice. Blake always seems to do a good job with that.

Part of that is her youth, I would think. At this point, though, she's going to need to step it up and put some emotion into her performances. She's got everything else.
That's interesting because at home the other night we were talking about how poised her performances seemed to be for a sixteen year old.

He gave Swon Bros Okie from Muskogee.

He was trying to cut the dead weight and it didn't work.

Yeah that song choice was awful by Blake

I disagree... I think he's too stuck in a rut. I'd like to see the Swon Brothers and Danielle branch out somewhat.

It seems almost like Blake values "country music" more than his singers...like instead of picking songs for them to shine on, he's just sort of promoting his genre regardless of how it affects the contestants.

But don't you think that's what that demographic wants? They keep advancing, even though the Swons should've been gone 4 shows ago. When I say he does well in song choices, I mean he picks songs that get votes. That's why he's had the last 2 winners, and has 2 acts left to everyone else's 1. I don't think either of the last 2 winners were the best vocalists on their specific seasons, but he put them in a position to win.

No doubt about it.
I think Usher is by far the best at picking songs to let his contestant(s) shine.
Shakira was/is terrible.

Just thought I'd do everyone a favor and bump the thread for tonight's show.
You're welcome.

I watched almost every episode this season. I find myself not giving a shite about the show at all the longer the season goes.
I think the issue is that the best part of the show (blind auditions) is front loaded. After that and the battle rounds, I find it really hard to care. The people of America make bad choices and lots of times the wrong person goes home IMO, which makes me not care.
I'll at least watch the finale, but in my mind the best "Voice" on the show was Sarah Simmons and she is already off the show.

I don't care at all that the show comes on tonight, and will actually force myself to watch it.

I agree, but it's more this season than in general. Last season I thought it got better, some really good finalists to keep my interest.

Terry McDermott, Nicholas David, and Tony Lucca are coming back tonight. I still can't believe how much of a bitch Xtina was to Tony
