Well, back to the food board. Hope the metamusil kicks in.

One thing about Bangs-Tina is that she's super-dedicated to her team. Dez is the only one she has left in the competition so she's even more rabid.

Dez isn't bad, but his sex appeal (nohomo) has carried him far enough along until he was able to find his crooner-ish groove (I agree with Blake that that's what he needs to stick with).

I think Cody goes home this week as well. He did great on the Queen song (pun?) but I just don't think he has any more "Jolene" moments left in him.

Personally, I think it's time for Trevin to go. Before crucifying me on a burning cross, here's my reasoning... Trevin is almost all power. He has good softer and lower-register singing... good but not great. He only shines when he is belting out power so hard I feel like I am in an old Memorex commercial.



His softer game (as proven tonight) is still a bit shaky. Let him get off the show and have he freedom for someone to come along and mold him into the next Luther Vandross (because that's something that WILL happen whether he wins or not, bank on it).

I think he already has the following to keep him on the show, but I would choose to let him go if it were up to me because of that and I am just over him.

Amanda has been one of my favorites to watch. I love her voice and her song choices. I think she had a reeeally good night but needs another Dream On to make it beyond next week.

Nicholas David - I hope he wins. This guy just oozes classic soul. I thought the song choice was fantastic tonight but really want to hear him tear into something like "You Are So Beautiful" and leave it sweaty and panting on the ground.

Melanie comes and goes with me, this weekend was definitely a comer. The popular version of that song is so forceful and angry and comes across as "I'm so fricking done that I am going out to get shitty drunk and frick some slut!11!!1", but her rendition was hauntingly beautiful and came across as "You aren't worth being upset about anymore so please, just go frick yourself".

I think Terry will be the other person going home tomorrow. He gives solid performances but I just don't see a rocker winning this show.

Cassadee had another smart and stellar performance. She stays.



tl;dr - Cody and Terry go home, Trevin needs to work on anything that's not loud.

Chistina fricking sucks. She's back to her ways of downplaying great performances by others. I swear to god if she tells Amanda Brown she's still trying to figure out who she is as an artist one more time I will FedEx her shite in a box. Then she acts like Dez is the second coming of Jesus and grovels for votes. No other coach is doing that. Of course they compliment their singers but she was outright begging for America to keep him

/rant

- Amanda is awesome. I really enjoy how she can just rock out but still have that smoothness in her voice to hit all the notes.
- I think Terry is done. I'm a fan, but I think we have seen the best he can do
- That was the best Cody we have seen IMO. I was surprised that he was able to hit some of those notes
- Melanie's last 2 performances have been my favorite by her but I'm still not a huge fan.
- Trevin needs to wow us again. Last night wasnt his best.
- Cassadee would have had a hard time following up last week's performance no matter what she did but I enjoyed it. I like all of her performances so far
- Nicholas is still the man. That guy's voice is just beyond awesome
- Dez is good at what he does - he's a crooner. And no, Christina, he's not super versatile. This is him. He's not my cup of tea but he should stick around this week. He should not win this however.

I think Terry and Melanie should be cut this week.
