Eeeh. Not really. Although I didn’t particularly go Gaga over Dafoe in C&PD. Bookwise timeline Clark was in his late 40s when Ryan first meets him and he’s active well into his 60s. Most of the badass-ness of Without Remorse had taken place roughly 20 years earlier. Schreiber was too young and nothing says John Kelly like a guy from Eastern Europe with Jewish heritage.

I like Michael B Jordan fine, but he was terribly miscast in the Amazon adaptation of Without Remorse. Aside from the race reversal, it just made zero sense for the backstory.

I forgot that was even a thing. Taylor Sheridan squeezed out this turd that didn't follow the novel, which was one of Tom Clancy's best ever. It got a 41% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. The Hunt for Red October, Red Storm Rising, and Without Remorse are his best three so i hope someone else tries to remake WR.

Scary how good Clancy was in writing this stuff.

Really makes how dog shite the later books raping the corpse of the series was. Bear and the dragon was the last real good one, teeth of the tiger showed some promise but it went off the rails soon after.

Was walking through the bookstore a month or so ago and saw this. A new release. Why even keep his name on it?

Yeah I kept going but it really turned to dogshit trash.

WW3 being threatened every three months, and killing off old school characters for fake gravitas.

Good actor, terrible John Clark.

Liev Schreiber is my favorite Clark.

We have yet to see a proper John Kelly/Clark on the silver screen, IMO, but out of the field, Schreiber is the best.

He really is a good actor. I like his roles typically. He was Ray Donovan. Such a good series.
