It's popular on this board but it didn't hold my interest probably because I knew what it was about going in; I'm not a Facebook fan. I will say that Eisenberg was well cast in the lead role.

What does this even mean?

Its not like we line up with facebook t shirts like it was superman or something. Its an interesting topic/story and a great time piece for the early 2000s

Good movie. A bit overrated and not great on re-watch.

you could hate facebook and have no interest in how it came to be, yet still love this movie due to the incredible story telling, pacing, score, directing, cinematography

I use facebook and still didn't know too much about the story behind how it got started. It was pretty interesting.

I'm a old fart and was thoroughly entertained

And yes I've watched it more than once and still enjoyed

I went in though wondering what's a Facebook?

It truly is one of the few if only movie I can recall where every character was a complete douche yet wildly entertaining

Yep. The Twins were douchey naturally

Zuckerberg fricked over his best friend

The Best friend is the whiniest sack of shite ever

And yet you find yourself rooting for each character at different points in the movie. Thats an impressive feat
