Son of a bitch that was the best miniseries I’ve seen in a VERY long time.

frickin brilliant all around.

My wife doesn’t like superhero movies and such and loved it but I gave her the pretense that it had a mobster vibe to it.

Ok the last scene with Oz’s mom….at this point with all we know about how absolutely fricked in the head he is, I think he is purposely keeping her alive so she can see what he has become as punishment for how she turned on him.

Bumping this thread. I finished this morning. This about sums it up for me:

Man what a great show.
I know everyone kept saying he was going to turn on Vic but I just didn’t think it would happen. Can’t believe he did it.

Excellent job creating an unlikeable true villain.

They made Oz an irredeemable piece of shite who’s only looking out for himself and also showed why he’d belong in a psychiatric prison to boot. Brilliantly done.

It's an A+ for me. Great story, cast, everything. And another excuse to post Christin Milioti who was gorgeous and brilliant in that role. I felt like she was more of a hero than Oswald:

Agreed across the board.

Milioti gets approached by a reporter and gets curious. That's all it took. Oz resented her just by being born into privilege.

I think it was E4 when she gets put into Arkham Asylum, that was heartbreaking and a tough watch.

And when Oz had won at the end, instead of ending her misery, he gets her sent back to Arkham, worse than death for her. And then he chokes out Vic.

I think it does pick up from the Batman and ties into next Batman film

Finished this last night, incredible show, probably one of the best things I've watched. It's in the Batman universe but could stand on its own as a gangster movie.

I'm glad I didn't follow this thread at all while watching because I did not see Vic's death coming. I was rooting for Oz the entire time, even after learning about his hand in his brothers deaths. I chalked that up to him being a kid and how would he know that the sewers would fill up like they did. Horrible accident that he had to carry with him. But when he choked out Vic it all changed for me. What a POS! His psychopathic evil was totally revealed .

In retrospect and after reading much of this thread, I should have seen it coming. But that's just how good this show is. That I was rooting for Oz until it was too late, kind of like how Vic figured Oz out too late. Other viewers saw Oz as Sofia did, evil all along.

Great show.

This version of the penguin reminds me of the one in the Arkham video games. Love the cutthroat gangster version rather than the weird DeVito character or the one in the Gotham series

I just finished it myself, but I had this feeling when he fricked Sofia over in front of the Maronis. Right after he promised her he’d keep showing her she could trust him

Incredible show in its own right but love that it’s set in the Batman universe.

I’m excited to see Catwoman and Sofia team up since they’re half sisters
