I wish this series had nothing to do with comics.
I mean, it barely does. If you didn’t recognize names, you’d never know.

He tried to crush Selina’s throat with a pool stick in The Batman, but sure John.

Right
I think this means there's more Carmine in the these final episodes

He says in the article that the violence in the movie was implied and not acted out, unlike the show.
We’ll see where the shows goes but not quite following this train of thought. Violence is awfully critical to the plot.
There was violence against women (mainly by women) in episode 4, but it served a purpose, to show what Sofia went through and her descent in villainy as well as show how awful Arkham was.
Don’t think it works well if Sofia spent a decade in Arkham gabbing with the girls and her new bestie Magpie while getting helpful treatment from doctors with her best interest in mind.
And now she’s murdered a bunch of men (and a few women), so not exactly a sweet innocent women anymore.
Well and I guess mama Maroni getting burned alive. That’s the closest to gratuitous violence against women.

Didn't he already say scheduling conflict? Why is he changing his story now?

He has some selective memory.

Selina appeared to be one of Oz’s girls in The Batman.
Selina also tried to kill Falcone...

it still bothers me that they haven't. It makes zero sense that they are all up to such shenanigans and don't talk about him when it has been shown in the movie that criminals are freaked out by Batman even when he isn't around
These are cocky crime families that have been around for decades in Gotham. Batman is still basically a detective in his first year. These families aren't that worried about Batman right now. I'm glad they're not mentioning him.

She took the girl outside so she wouldn’t be killed. Remember everyone was asleep when she went and got her, there was no fighting going on.
What the police don't know is how it went down. He's saying that the shift to the police is there was a lot of fighting going on, so Sofia took the girl out of it. And that's why they weren't in the house to get gassed.
That was her out!

quote:Has nothing to do with being a comic book show. It's because the prison guards are paid off. That's plausible in the real world.
I thought about how stupid it was that Sal Moroni is allowed to carry out business with other gangsters alone in the visiting room of his prison.

So when do we discuss last nights show? That ending though…

Solid episode. Penguin's mom is a goner, but I'm still not sure about Vic

quote:A good episode with some exceptional moments. You really cannot predict how these scenes will end... Sofia and Eve the whore... Vic and Squid... Oz and the Gold Summit... The writing on this show is so damn good. Like The Sopranos, the writers have you pulling for these horrible people to come out on top. And in VIc's case, pulling for a decent person to become bad.
So when do we discuss last nights show?

If anybody kills Vic, it’s going to be Oz. I think it happens in the finale.

So what do we think about this Julian Rush character? Is he just a throwaway character for the show? Or will he turn out to be a famous batman villain?

Yes.
The most popular theories I've seen seem to speculate that he is a stand-in for Dr Hugo Strange that could turn out to actually be Hugo Strange depending on how this goes.

I’ll say this about Julian Rush. He is my most hated character in the show.
