The Only Problem with Alien

Great movie by Ridley Scott. Watching it again on BBC. But the only problem is he edited out the most important part of the movie. If you haven't seen the director's cut, watch it. It brings the story together unlike the theatrical version.

Towards the end of the movie - after Ridley tries to turn off the self destruct and she's heading back to the shuttle, she enters a part of the ship and finds all of the crew alive and "cocooned" and she wants to save them and Dallas tells her to get the frick out of there.
Its just one part of the movie he shouldn't have left out. Same with Aliens - Cameron left out some really good parts but that movie was great even as the theatrical. If Cameron would have not edited ALiens it would have been 3 hours long.

when I saw that scene it seemed completely out of place and added nothing to the final act.

The only problem with Alien is that Sigourney Weaver has zero butt.
It is a masterful science fiction/horror movie. The setting, the acting, the creature... all top of the line.
Then you get to Sigourney Weaver wearing panties three sizes too small for her and she doesn't have the booty to pull it off.

Odd that originally there wasn't a queen and the aliens turned people into eggs, then hatched a face hugger.
