GTTM - The difference is that no one's life is at stack coming out of Tiger Stadium. I bet if you said a bomb was going to go off in 5 minutes, that bitch would clear out quickly.
Actually that would make it a longer process to get out of the building
People panicking would make things much worse.

Oh as for the small editing error I mentioned I saw last night. During the Battle of Smallville, you can see in the background of all the action that there is a black van/truck driving around with what looks like a big hotdog on it. I'm assuming that this was a random vehicle offset because the action was taking place in the air. Surprised no one caught it. Hell maybe they did and were like meh, no one will give a shite. Hell I have no idea how I even caught it the first time to be quite honest.
Why cant there be hotdog trucks in Kansas?

movie was alright. I think I had my expectations too high though.

I think the lack of a theme song hurt it too, kept waiting for it. just didn't seem right. Kind of like watching Jaws without its...

A question I have is why did Zod want to take Lois up to the ship with Supes? What did that accomplish? Maybe I'm just blanking because I saw it at 11:30 last night and had to get up at 6 for work.

Oh and the whole atmospheric adaptations being strengths and weaknesses didn't make sense to me since both Superman and Zod are flying around in space without masks several times. Space is sort of known for having no atmosphere. So breathing in too much CO2 or Nitrogen can make them as weak as humans but breathing in NOTHING poses no problems?

I don't know why Lois was there either. Why was she on the plane at the end too?
Posted on 6/15/13 at 8:39 am to FairhopeTider
I guess because they only trusted her to put the Superkey into the Supership since she'd seen it done before

And thirdly what happened to the black hole they made in the middle of Metropolis?

Handing over Supes to Zod was all smoke and mirrors. They were really after the Kotex, so they could repopulate the earth.
They took Lois because they went through her mind to see if she saw it, or at the least, lead them to its possible location (that's how they got to the Kent farm)

Anyone else notice the LexCorp gas tankers during the final fight?
Yes, and on one of the buildings. Even better, did anyone catch the Wayne Enterprises logo on the satellite that was destroyed?

Wasn't actually a black hole. It was a combination of the phantom drives of both ships which according to Jor-El would send them both back to the phantom zone. The black hole was just how Supes explained it to the military.

It was as if it took all of 5 minutes for him to find the suit and learn how to fly. It would've been great to see more of that. Not sure how I feel about Lois knowing about Clark from the start.
Yeah, pretty much ruined the storyline for me

So you're saying these big blockbuster Marvel films are not cheesy/goofy/cartoonish, but the DC films are? I surely hope I misinterpreted you on that one because I can think of maybe two Marvel films that weren't full of cheese...
Relatable places and such are irrelevant in the movie realm, regardless as to how you spin it. The film could take place in a fricking jungle on the moon and people would flock to it AS LONG AS IT'S A GOOD FILM! It doesn't matter whether people can relate to it or not, or whether it's realistic or not.
Every Superman film I've seen contained some realism and seriousness. Why do you act like this one is the first?

The real answer: bad writing.
I rolled my eyes at that.

Joker - Zod wanted her because she had an obvious connection with Kal-El and Zod wanted to know everything she knew about him. She said as much after they got out of all that mess.
As for the atmosphere, Zod's ship had the same type of atmosphere that Krypton had. He was use to it, but Kal-El wasn't because he grew up on Earth with a different atmosphere. That's why his body had to adjust to the atmosphere and why when Zod landed on Earth, he either wore that little helmet thing or had those little freak outs like Kal did when he was young.
The lack of atmosphere was pretty clearly not a problem for either one of them.

Of the three Superman movies, this was my favorite.
I hated the Margot Kidder as Lois. The Lois in Man of Steel is the best of the three. This actor playing Superman was the best of the three too.
Can't go wrong - and didn't - with Gladiator.
Really enjoyed the additional insight into Krypton.
No one has mentioned Diane Lane as Mrs. Kent. That was a great choice.
Anyone notice who Kansas was playing in the football game Clark was watching?
LaTech
I can't remember the score though.
Didn't expect Superman breaking Zods neck to kill him. Great fight scene in 3D.
I'm glad there was no nerdy, clumsy Clark Kent.
8.5/10
