Where does it say it's open? I guess you haven't been reading this thread.

The wormhole is closed. It makes no sense that they would not scope out the planets. They've sent people into space on small ships. Your argument is very flawed. Brand is alone and no one else has been on that planet other than Edmunds. She's starting Plan B.

There's no point in taking this argument with you any further. It's clear you don't have a clue on the impossibility of the scenario, the size of the universe at large, and how the closed wormhole ruins the film. You really just don't get it. You don't.

You keep grasping that, bro. The wormhole being open does not fit literally everything else in the movie.

Then why would Murph and her colony not use it?

Nobody said that - perhaps it is risky - prehaps they've scouted, or whatnot. Maybe it was locked up the whole time Cooper was in the tesseract and didn't "unlock" until he was expelled.

Maybe that was by design so that everything would be locked in for that period - after all they constructed it (the tesseract) to fit perfectly within the timeline required?

I'm ready to watch the film again...

Wouldn't it have closed when it spit Cooper out? They should have had several decades to use it whether it closed or not.

Murph made it very clear that Brand is out there "alone". Did the send a scout ship then leave an inhabitable planet? It is odd.

So from your point of view, the movie can all be boiled down to a daughter telling her father to go kill himself on her deathbed.

Nah, what Murph was doing was the present for at least their time on Mann's planet due to the message of Plan B actually being the true plan.

But time eclipses them on the new planets. Murph would have figured out all of it before he got in the black hole. Murph was older before he went on water planet. While he was on the planet, she could have figured it out.

Damn movie was so damn long I lose track of everything

No. There had been no major time dilation before going down to the water planet. 23 years passed while he was on the water planet. Murph figured out the equation around the time Cooper went into the Black Hole. Once Cooper is inside the black hole, time was basically meaningless to him, to where he could exist in all times simultaneously.

That's impossible to determine. It did take a lot of time for them to work the formula and build the space station. What we do know is Brand is alone and Cooper has to steal a ship to try to find Brand. I'm just surprised that he would steal a ship if it were as simple as just shooting through the wormhole again. I would think they would be willing and able to let him go there.

I don't think she is older when they arrive on the water planet (other than the two years they spent sleeping getting to Saturn). When they got back from the water planet his son had sent Cooper a message while he was still young.

This thread with all the bitching has ruined the movie for me. I honestly don't care to see it again
