I watched it on Friday night. I thought it was a badass action movie. Very little dialogue, tons of action sequences. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Disagree. There's no wrong answer however, just depends what your preference in movies are

It's a perfect movie for a big theater experience. Sorry you missed it. Still a good watch at home, but not as grand.
Agree. Tried watching it downstairs. Twice. I thought, "meh". Finally watched it upstairs in the media room on the large projector screen with Klipsch surrounds. Awesome movie. It doesn't translate well to a small screen, though.

that's what i thought based on the ridiculous love it gets on here. Complete waste of 2 hours of my life I can't get back. that movie was retarded.
Why would i be interested in the visual effects of a movie only? that's what painting are for. This movie is like going to a art museum.

It's a solid B, but nothing crazy

Visually it's stunning, and I loved some of the bad guys, just didn't get all the love for Theron and Hardy. I love some Tom Hardy, but he said like 10 words the whole movie

Sicario, Spotlight, Straight Outta Compton, Ex Machina all better IMO

I watched it in a huge theater in 3D and then watched it at home a few weeks ago. No comparison. It doesn't translate well to home viewing. It is one of those movies, like Avatar, that was a visual feast but not much else, and you had to see in the theater to know what all the fuss is about.

Thought it was a good action movie. Didn't get the "best action movie ever" or "best movie of the year" hype.

I liked Fury Road, and I "get" what they were trying to so with the shared-protagonist plot.

BUT...

I hope that's not the plan moving forward.

I don't really like seeing a character like Mad Max take a back seat in his own "Mad Max" movies. That's my only gripe with Fury Road. I liked Fury Road. Now I want to see what the "new" Mad Max can do. I didn't get enough of that in Fury Road.

It insists upon itself, with no payoff at the end.

they should have filmed the scene where he goes off and took out the tank car.

from the looks of things he dominated.

It's a very fun movie with a ton of flaws that embraces the absolutely over the top psychosis of the post apocalyptic world created within, but the fact that it was nominated for Best Picture must have been only for technical and cinematographic reasons, because overall the story is pretty meh. That doesn't mean you shouldn't see it and it doesn't mean it isn't great fun, just means that it was a surprising choice.

Stunning action sequences and visuals were top notch. If you are watching this movie for the storyline, look elsewhere.

The movie itself, and the countless drones of people that tell you to watch it, think that this movie is worth the boring ride they take you on to deliver the highly anticipated ending you're waiting for, but the movie ends and you realize, after coming back here and seeing the oscars, the only reason the movie was made was for you to enjoy the visuals and sound of the movie, not the actual movie since the story was rather pointless.

Even though Peter was joking when he said he didn't like the Godfather b/c "it insists upon itself" he was somewhat right. That movie is extremely long and can be boring, but when it's finished, you are satisfied. If no one told you the Godfather was a goat movie, some might not stick around to watch it all b/c it gets rather boring. Ex Machina was like that as well, but it at least had a point made when the movie ended and you're glad you stuck around. There can be anxiety when watching the Godfather and Ex Machina to see what happens next, even though it is a slow process to get to that next. There was no next with Mad Max and i felt nothing but boredeom watching it. I stuck around and finished watching it b/c it's supposed to be awesome, but it ended and i felt like i wasted 2 hours of my life.
I wanted to turn off the Godfather the first time i watched it b/c it was boring. I'm glad i didn't.

This movie that was so great, did not even make money.
People bitch about not grading movies by their box office, but if a movie is really good, word gets around and people start seeing it. That is why Avatar is the #1 movie ever. People went see it, told their friends to go see it and history was made, and that movie isn't even that good. The Divergent movies, which are terrible, are represented as terrible at the box office considering similar movies like Twilight and Hunger Games destroy it.
Why did the last two mission impossible films gross a lot more than the previous 3? b/c they were better movies than the first 3. Why did Skyfall make over a billion dollars but no other james bond film has come close to that? b/c it was an awesome movie.

If Mad Max is indeed an action movie, although i have no idea what it is, but if it's an action movie, then it sucked as an action movie considering San Andreas, Godzilla, World War Z, and Terminator Genesis did better than they did at the box office.

Fast and Furious 7 was 10x's better of an action movie than Mad Max was. But it's cool to hate on Fast and the Furious despite them rolling in money.

I can not for the life of me, understand what makes Mad Max such a thrilling movie to watch. Am i supposed to be in awe of a flame shooting guitar? What about this movie is supposed to be appealing to me watching an action movie?

I still don't understand the "insists upon itself" statement.

Your gripe is that the plot was boring? That's fine. Doesn't make the movie retarded.

Your post was boring as shite and goes on so many irrelevant tangents that I feel like I just wasted a couple minutes of my life. Your post is retarded.
