Powerscaling in super is absolute trash

Dude, its been trash since the Namek saga. Hell, its been broken since they introduced the idea of power levels through Raditz, Vegeta, and Nappa.

Plus, watching those episodes, I never once thought Goku was going anywhere near 100%, Toriyama gave off the distinct impression Goku was sandbagging everything.

Either that or they are trying to show us how strong the others are, so we aren't surprised when they fight well in the tournament.

I was reading an article a week or two ago that described the way Super Saiyan Blue works. Just because Goku is using Super Saiyan Blue doesn't mean he's even using the full power of a Super Saiyan. He just has much more control over his power and abilities. Could explain some of it, but we still don't know how strong anybody really is.

From my understanding, SSB is pen point fo us of ki. This means Goku has adjust his ki to know exactly how strong the others are. That is why someone like Krillan can hold his own against Goku.

Power scale is crap in almost all anime. Dragonball was just stupid enough to put a number on it. In all anime, hero fights bad guy and starts to lose, then gets a power boost, and barely wins. Then next ememy just so happens to be stronger than that amazing power and rinse/repeat.

Frieza definitely killed it though.

Frieza's final form at 50% was 60,000,000 (iirc). This was 600 times stronger than Captian Ginyu. Ginyu was around 10 times stronger than Vegeta in the Saiyan saga. Vegeta was more than 10 times stronger than Raditz.

Frieza was 60,000 times stronger than Raditz. Goku fought Frieza about 2 years after he fought Raditz.

why can't Goku teach anyone else Instant Transmission? Seems like a helpful ability to have when the universe is on the line.

Hell, why not bring people to Yardat to learn it if he is a bad teacher?

I know Goku learns stuff really quickly and it still took him a year (but Vegeta did learn the Destructo Disk after only seeing it used twice)

Trunks learned the Evil Containment Wave in 5 minutes from a a cell phone video, yes, others should be able to use instant transmission, but I think those are "Goku" powers and no one else can us them, except maybe Gohan.

hmm, can Fat Buu use Instant Transmission?

I know Kid Buu could. But was that an evil Buu only thing?

Fat Buu separated from Evil Buu before he learned Instant Transmission. So as far as I know, he can not use the technique.

As far as the others, I seriously don't get why they don't learn each other's more useful attacks. The Distructo Disc hurt Freeza despite Krillin being vastly outmatched. Why someone else didn't use it as well is just odd.

I was thinking the same thing

Seems a bit rapey. Was weird. 89 felt like anew old school Dragon Ball episode.

yep...

Roshi was always a pervert but at least most of the woman beat the shite out of him the second he did anything perverted. The girl in this episode just kind of let it happen which made it pretty damn awkward.

Not really a fan of Gohan and Piccolo getting no screen time. Goku may be Gohan's father, but Piccolo is his daddy. (although it also kind of odd that Piccolo is only a few years older than Gohan...)

What a Shitty episode... Aside from the creepy rapey stuff, it seriously felt like an episode from 1987...not good.

I just don't see how Tien, Roshi, and Krillan will do anything in this tournament.

I wonder how Funimation will edit the Roshi scenes for English dub. If they take that stuff out, the episode will only be 15 minutes.

Some major spoilers came out a few days ago. If you don't want to know, don't continue reading.

Buu won't be participating in the tournament. Instead, Goku will visit Frieza about taking the 10th spot on the Universe 7 team. I was really looking forward to seeing how Buu's training paid off.

(SPOILERS)

Saw this yesterday...Can't believe they're doing this. Well trained Buu would've been badass to see.

I'm also kind of tired of Frieza. I get it, he's the OG bad guy, but Cell is a better villain to me.

I also wonder if having essentially Super Buu in the tournament, he would be basically unstoppable. He can heal from virtually any attack and his power is virtually unlimited. Doesn't make for very good TV.

How? Cell just wanted to test his power limits. Freezy Pop wanted to destroy an entire race because he hated them. As far as villainy goes Dr Gero is better than Cell.
