Wow. I just watched the english dub of Super from last night.
Has Goku or any fighter ever shrunk and energy blast and hugged it to dissipate or dissolve it?
I only remember either an equal energy blast enveloping the incoming one, or the fighter taking the blast to dissipate it.

Goku vs Toppo was awesome. Toppo's moves were pretty obnoxious, but he's pretty legit. Dude means business.

He was like an anti-Ginyu with all the stupid poses and him being the second strongest person.
I did find the fact that all of his moves were said in english kind of funny when watching a sub.
But overall, I didn't really enjoy the fight. Goku fighting in base form or normal SSJ just had no tension to me because you know he is going to flip that switch eventually and have the upper hand again.
I do love Goku being cocky as hell and almost Vegeta-esque these past few episodes though.

Just caught the last two episodes...
Holy shite Gohan... one step forward, twenty steps back...but at least he is back in training.
The slimmed down Buu seems intriguing. I really like seeing Satan actually being useful.
Goku finally gets to meet android 17 next week. Sadly, the intros already spoiled the roster for the universe. I do wonder why if the Kais and Beerus are so worried about losing they don't try to get Frieza or Cell to join in since they would be in the top 5 of the universe easily.
But seriously, losing to fricking Krillin?!?!

What do you guys think Goku's new power is that is shown in the intro and he talks about when fighting Toppo? Im thinking a higher multiplier of Kaioken like maybe x 100

Those two stills show just how uneven the art is for this show. I know it is a common practice, but holy hell the extras they get seriously look like they never drew before and was just handed one of those "How to Draw Anime" books.

You just know a scene like that (Ultimate Gohan and Piccolo training) is going to look top notch.
As for Caulifla, I wish they had done a better job, being that it's her first appearance. I'm okay with it though. We'll eventually see this out of her.

It says Gohan wants to surpass his Father not that he will and if he does than that would be awful writing.
Gohan lost to Piccolo in episode 88 and you are telling me he is going to go from his current power level which is weaker than Base Form Goku to being on par with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, all that in 9 hours? That would be complete BS

Ha, so many great bits from DBZ Abridged on Piccolo being a father figure to Gohan.
I hate how much they try to push Gohan as the strongest when he barely seems to care about being strong. Goku and Vegeta are much better as leads than any of the other supporting characters.

watching just the dubs of Super is really challenging. why the hell did they decide to adapt the two movies into sagas and then make them into so many pointless episodes. its been painstakingly boring so far.

well, android 17 inexplicably got stronger from being a ranger on some remote island.
Goku defeated the whole Red Ribbon Army when he was 12. He did not have a power level of a billion or whatever 17 has.

Supposedly, he is a super human and has been training on his own for the past 11 years or so. Even then, it's still pretty ridiculous that he's so strong now.
