I wouldn't put it at 5, but I do really like TDKR. It grew on me over the years. If it's on TV, I always stop and watch it now.

I continue to be amazed by the prevous account i had posted (itsjat32). The trades were saying 15 mil previews. He came out with 17.5 and now the trades are confirming his number. That dude is legit. And he gets data nationwide. Not sure how he does it.

Or I could not watch little clips from a movie that assholes are filming while in the theater.

Or, you know, you could just NOT comment on it at all. But where's the fun in that? You're such a pretentious douche.

You do understand the type of behavior you are defending, yes?

And you felt the need to defend this shitty behavior days later? Even after people have started seeing and liking the movie, making it clear that this garbage you're defending is really stupid?

So, you are also stupid, yes?

This is how I feel about it. Some really cool scenes but overall is quite average and pretty bad by Nolan's standards.

One of the most damning things I’ve seen is just how awful the regular theater version looks compared to IMAX. Like yeah, IMAX should always be better but some of the screen comparisons make it look almost unwatchable if you don’t see it in IMAX

Pretty fricking atrocious decision by Nolan tbh

I saw somewhere that he didn't even film it in the typical IMAX format. There are supposedly only about 40 theaters in the world that can handle this film in the format he filmed it.

And not a single person would have ever been able to tell if they hadn't read something like this. Saw it in XD last night and at no point would have anyone have thought it wasn't the right format. Just another thing for people to get fake outrage over.

the entire movie was shot with 70mm IMAX film. since it sounds like a lawnmower while filiming, IMAX had to build an enclosure for the camera to keep that noise down so it wouldn't wash out the actors dialog.

this is the first time an entire feature film has been filmed on 70mm IMAX film.

Took me a minute (had to wade through all the positive and negative reviews), but I finally found an article about it. LINK

quote:

Only 25 theaters in the U.S. are equipped to project “The Odyssey” in true Imax 70mm film, prompting moviegoers to embark on cross-country road trips (and even delaying pregnancies) to experience the cinematic milestone.

quote:

Imax says it rebuilt as many film projectors as possible in-house, but some obsolete parts made it virtually impossible to find manufacturers because the components are complex to produce and the market is too small. The effort ultimately resulted in 41 Imax 70mm locations worldwide for “The Odyssey,” up from 30 for “Oppenheimer” (a net increase of 11 after one projector was lost during the process).

I've seen quite a few people on Twitter saying it doesn't look right on standard screens. I won't be going to watch to figure it out for myself.

We know. I look forward to you constantly posting about it for months though. Everyone loves hearing your opinions on movies you haven't seen.

Didn't you and your butt buddies start a new thread to discuss the film and get away from people "complaining" about the movie?

Now you come back here to troll?
