Yes. A show like that sounds absolutely awful.
Well then I believe with damn near 100% certainty that you are one the few people on this site who would actually think that.
Of that I will never be convinced otherwise

Would it seem weak and lazy to those on this site who claim it is if it was a right leaning show that ignored all the right's short comings while hammering the left every step of the way?
It's wrong either way. I watched the first episode and thought the writing was magnificent, even if a lot of the things Sorkin was able to do with it was based on hindsight. However, I just can't watch the show because I don't want to be hit over the head with politics that I don't agree with.
I am not ashamed to admit that Sorkin's liberal leanings are the main reasons I do not watch The Newsroom. The West Wing struck the perfect balance, The Newsroom does not.

Then go watch something else, stop mucking up the season thread, and move along.
Seriously, majority of the people bitching about the show in this thread are people who are saying they stopped watching the show episodes ago. Then why are you still here? It's pretty clear you're not turning anyone off who is actively watching.
If you're not watching start your own critique thread and get out of the season thread so people can actually discuss the show and it's happenings.

Ive been watching the West Wing a lot recently. Its just as liberal leaning as Newsroom is.

Its as simple as people not wanting to watch a show that makes, or tries to make their political party look stupid. In some cases Newsroom has succeeded in doing so.

I would argue the Republican party has made themselves look stupid.

I agree. I consider myself conservative but jesus christ Republicans make it easy.

I imagine that any person who leans to the right, not even to mention the wing nuts, would definitely not like tonight's episode.
I love this show.
I love this show.

Tonight was pretty good. Nice wrap up at the end. Previews for next week look good too.

I'm waiting for complaints about taking shots at the Republican primary candidates during the mock debates just so that I can point out that there was no competitive Democratic primary for this election.

See I thought this was a pretty weak episode. I don't really know why I just didn't enjoy it as much

I'm sure the complaints will come.
And I really do love Don and all his flaws.

For me it sometimes depends on my mood. But I thought tonight was decent and, in fact, made a very good point about the jokes we call "debates" whether you're Republican or Democrat. Both parties are fricking risk averse.

Aside from Maggie, I'm getting to where I love a lot of the characters. Mac annoys me a little, but other than that I like pretty much everybody... Don cracks me up. Even though I dislike Maggie, I'm pulling for Jim to grow a set. Lisa was looking fine during her on air interview. I like Sloan's attitude, and Charlie is a bad arse.

I have a feeling this was the case for me tonight.
I'll rewatch sometime later this week.

Without a doubt and thats something that I've always thought.

Can someone explain what happened at the end for me? It just doesn't make sense for some reason...
Posted on 8/20/12 at 12:38 am to unbeWEAVEable
Jim was there to tell Maggie about dons flowers not to see Lisa. Then don fessed up to Maggie
Posted on 8/20/12 at 12:58 am to CottonWasKing
Lisa is so much hotter than Maggie. Maggie sucks.

I don't find Lisa to be hot at all. Maggie is cute although she does fricking suck.
