I have a friend who has seen it and said its the scariest movie he has ever seen. I know everyone has a friend that thinks a creepy movie is the "scariest ever", but my friend never gives movies high praise unless its great. Has anyone heard of or seen this movie??

I must admit, it is the first horror movie that has ever made me change channels when the preview comes on

In a lot of cities you can get tickets to screenings for free. I went to see Lawless before it came out. Dunno if that's how ole boy's friend saw it.

They had screenings on Monday. There was one in Katy, but by the time I went to buy a ticket, it was sold out

It's from the producer of Insidious which was pretty creepy, but the director of The Exorcism of Emily Rose which like almost every exorcism movie since The Exorcist has been pretty disappointing.

I'll probably wait until a few friends whose opinions I respect on horror movies have seen it before I go.

The first half of insidious was one of the scariest movies I had ever seen, the second half was terrible.

I actually enjoyed Emily rose, it wasn't very scary but it was decent movie none the less.

I'm looking forward to this seems to have a lot of potential

If I'm watching a scary movie, I want scary. Unless it's made to be otherwise (like a spoof or satire see: Cabin in the Woods). So I was just disappointed with it even though I appreciated the effort.
