The word is that this year will feature a season long subplot/character study is which two unnamed main characters watch the grass grow, argue about it in hushed tones, and speculate on it's meaning and significance while silent people in white pajamas stand in the middle of the street chain- smoking cigarettes and affecting an air of impending malevolence.

don't care what anyone says about this show, episode 9 of season 1 was absolutely incredible.

New music and intro this season.

What a weird start to this episode.

Somebody post a spoiler thread when they figure out where the people went. I tried watching and not knowing this aggravated me, so I quit. Heh heh

I liked the first season. Looks like season 2 takes us to a new location so I hope that doesn't change the dynamic too much. I could see this show getting old very quickly though if they don't start resolving some things and bringing in new plot lines.

By own version of KKK i mean, they basically threaten or kick out anyone they don't like or isn't doing " good" by the community. hence eddie winslows " i qwas born here i deserve to be here" and the other couple you see randomly saying " you cant make us leave". then there's the " you're going to work on your birthday"

Yeah, this show has kind of stuck wiht me and entered my thoughts a few times on the way to work this morning. Sign of a good show when it sticks with you like that. Last night was just weird. So much going on with this town. Still trying to work out the pre-historic man beginning with what is happening in current times. That scene means something, from the earthquake in the beginning, to the whole circle of life thing going on there (glad the baby was saved), to the significance of the pool and its water, now gone.

Lots of mysteries surrounding this town. Seems like they had no departures and it was turned into a national park and protected and is now guarded. Seems they don't trust anybody who they think is moving there expecting some sort of miracle or for the "protection" and safety people think the town provide. Also, it seems like if you are false and prey upon people it will get your house burned down.

Some really weird scenes. Guy drags a goat into the cafe and slits it's throat. People react like it's BAU, even going so far as to catch the entire moment on their smart phones. Teenagers streaking through the woods. Nice. A guy living up on a platform. The fire dept has some sort of odd roll. This society has become very strange.

Lots of WTF moments but what was the deal with the bird in the box?
