Does anyone remember the movie Alpha Dog from the early 2000s? I legit laughed how often the said frick in it - and that was damn near 20 years ago and it wasn’t as much in everyday vernacular
I don’t remember watching last night and thinking, “man they sure are saying the F word a lot” - maybe I’m too desensitized.
What's funny is that Wolf of Wall Street is pretty much universally loved on this board and it holds the record for most F-bombs in a major studio theatrical release, but on this show it's a problem for several people.

Not sure if the game is like this, but the forced diversity thing is feeling forced.
Mostly but there has been some hilarious ramping up of it. The most hilarious was making Sam deaf. Talk about a blatant checking of a diversity box!

If you can't see the difference when adults say and the context vs when a 14 year says it and the way she says it, then I don't know what to say. It is a legit criticism but, man, some of you posters think this show can do no wrong and when multiple posters say it's distracting, y'all come in here and act like this is normal and blah blah blah.

I understand what they were trying to do but it just didn’t work. Bill and frank worked for what it was but this episodes just dragged. The girl who played Riley was horrendous. They were trying to recreate another bill and frank type episode but Riley’s character ruined it. Im fine with the flashback but they simply didn’t need a full episode with this one. And after all of that they don’t show what happened once the infection kicks in?! That maybe would of saved the episode because of the emotional damage but they decided to end it beforehand.

Only in this country will you find people absolutely cheer on the most brutal violence while recoiling at profanity and/or nudity.

I think it’s heavily implied that they just waited it out and of course as we know Ellie never turned. Personally this is probably my least favorite episode so far. I think this episode could have been handled better had they done what they did in the DLC which of course I won’t get into but I just feel like this is one instance where the game did it a good bit better. I really did like the scene after they get bit showing how the two react to what they both believed to be a death sentence. Ellie who’s much less mature freaks the hell out and starts breaking shite meanwhile Riley just kind of accepts that it’s the end for her. I think her time with the Fireflies kind of opened up her mind and allowed her to mature much faster than Ellie

can't have it both ways.
I'm not knocking it for it being faithful, it's just a part I don't like. If she says frick every 5 seconds in the game I wouldn't enjoy that part of the game either.

Worst episode of the series. Didn’t advance the show at all. Could have done her “backstory” as a 10 min flashback in a legitimate episode. Not sure why they thought this was necessary

Instead of killing..
Think of the outcry that would have occurred had a president made the announcement that he is sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq to forcibly rape saddam hussein, his sons, Osama etc. Like everyone is just getting raped over and over.

Imagine if that became a thing. Like, not only do you have to worry about hitmen, but now you also have to worry about arse assassins. Imagine Putin or Kim Jong getting railed by a group of trained specialists and that footage put out in the world. No matter who you are, things would never be the same for you
