That is the anthem of the movie.

And the song that won a Golden Globe.

A school in Scotland had their kids sing the song for a school assembly and Hugh Jackman gave them praise for it...

saw it again to get the kids out of the house during the great freeze.

i came to the conclusion that it's a mediocre/bad movie. but great experience. maybe one of the best ones i've ever seen.

i'll get shite on for this, but i think it would have been better made if Baz Luhrmann has his hands on it but kept the same music pieces. probably would have been more tragic and all over the place (his movies are a mess,) but a better film.

just pontificating. still one of the better filmgoing experiences i had in 2017.

Probably the best movie I’ve seen all year. Critics were wrong. Word of mouth is driving this. I’m starting to see more on social media about it.

also a thought on this.

it set a record for highest climb in week two $$$ for a 3000+ theater release. which means critics shat on it, then the people that went to see it had praise for it and gave it high audience scores, then all their friends went to see it.

Mrs. and I saw it as a date night. I thought it was good. I love old musicals too. It has been a while since a really good modern musical has been made and yes I tried to watch La La Land. We went based off reviews on social media.

This was a true PG movie where you can easily bring your kids. Plan to bring them this weekend.

Jenny Lind character was hot.

I think this is what Xanadu should have been with modern CG with more music. Too much down time between songs with weak acting and dialogue. That would be one musical I wouldn't mind redone but we don't have a Gene Kelly anymore.

I normally hate musicals but this was a lot of fun. Def worth a date night movie.

Saw it last night and I enjoyed the hell out of it. I liked it better than La La Land and I really liked that one. I can't get the music out of my head so I bought the soundtrack this morning.

That's a good one, I think my favorite is "From Now On". My least favorite is "Tightrope"

You read my mind on my favorite and least favorite songs, however, I still like Tightrope a lot.

My fave songs were Never Enough and The Greatest Show. My least favorite was Tightrope, but it was still pretty good.

I think really the best way to enjoy the movie is just go into it knowing it is very loosely based on a real person/situation.

It wasnt a documentary, it was a musical and it was simply "inspired by" true events

I’m glad people are giving it a chance and going to see it for themselves instead of being swayed by critics. It’s rare to see a good pg movie that isn’t animated.

My MoviePass came in so I finally got around to seeing it. I loved it. I’m a sucker for musicals and this was the role Hugh Jackman was born to play. You could tell he was having a great time. I really enjoyed the Zendaya and Zefron scenes too.

And I like to imagine that it’s a prequel to The Prestige

Really glad the film continues to do well despite the critics.

From BoxOfficeMojo -

"Fox also rounds out the top five with the continued strong performance from The Greatest Showman, which dropped just 12% this weekend, delivering an estimated $11 million as the film's domestic cume is now approaching $115 million as it enters its fifth week in release. The musical also added an estimated $11 million overseas this weekend, bringing its global cume to $231.4 million."

It's also killing it with sountrack sales. It's been the #1 selling album on iTunes for a few weeks now and still is despite Fall Out Boy's new album just dropping. It'll probably hold on for another week until Justin Timberlake's album drops.

It’s one of those movies that send you out of the theater in a better mood than when you came in. Nothing life changing, just a fun movie to go and see
