Funny thing is, she apparently can sing also, but they needed a BIG voice for her song

Makes sense for that song. Those are some powerful vocals. It sounds almost like Adele singing it(it's not it is Loren Allred from The Voice).

Still listen to the soundtrack every day. It's a very easy soundtrack to enjoy as each song on it is likable in it's own way.

Interesting article about how Keala Settle (bearded lady) got the part for the movie. It has the actual video of the workshop where she sung This is Me for the first time(you can see Hugh in the video getting excited/emotional as well). She was hired that day.

She played an opera singer. They needed a powerful voice, but her acting made that scene so good.

I loved how Barnum was like “I hope she can sing” up until she started singing and the look on his face was pure “wow.” The reprise where she cried during the song was very sad. I wish they had given Jenny more screen time.

Beautiful woman who played Lind as is the woman who actually sings the song. Loren Allred.

All my humanities-doctoral-student friends are up in arms over it. Say it glosses over the reality of disabilities or something.

I liked it.

It's not the best thing I've ever seen but I had fun and it shocked me how much I liked it. It did have plenty of flaws though

Critics have attacked it for an inaccurate portrayal of Barnum.

For frick's sake! No one said boo about his circus until the last 20 years when the animal rights people decided to frick up everything

I’m a big fan of Rebecca Ferguson. She’s beautiful and a very underrated actress. She was fantastic in The White Queen.

It's A frickING MUSICAL. Not a documentary.

Your friends just need to lighten the frick up and learn how to just enjoy a movie for pure entertainment purposes only.

Nowhere does it say “this is an accurate portrayal of P.T. Barnum’s life”. It’s Hollywood.

there was a musical made back in the 80s ... very good, and of all the musicals my mother took us to see, that one probably stuck with me more than any of the others ... and i enjoyed all of the musicals ... he was an interesting fellow ...
