New Supercut combines all three trailers.

Didn't cry but came really close. Throat started constricting and eyes tested up. A lot of that has to do with a near death incident a few years ago and just being a much more emotional being but whatever. I ain't ashamed.

SW really is something special to our culture. It is amazingly unique how it affects people.

Man the original trailers took a very different tone.

The original Star Wars trailer really does not sell me on the movie. Perhaps it is a product of its time, but it just makes the movie look both dreary and campy.

The other ones were much better as they were about to sell you based on what you already knew.

A) That mashup trailer gave me chills.

B) What if Luke has figured out how to use both the dark side and light, without being corrupted by the dark. Bringing balance to the force, but in a way that a person can remain neutral and have the power of both sides.

I was talking to my dad about the new trailer the other day. He said when they saw the trailer for the first Star Wars, they all thought it looked ridiculous. Now I see why.

By the look of their weapons they are not Dark Jedi. I was under the impression that the Knights were all a bunch of dark siders but now I don't think that's the case. Perhaps Kylo is the only Knight of Ren that has force abilities?

I just got the impression they were Mandalorians (Boba Fett's people) who becomes Force Conscious and just turns into the ultimate badass.

Looking at the two enhanced gifs posed on the last page, the one over Ren's left shoulder does have a very strong resemblance to a Mandalorian helmet. The others, not so much. One looks like a scount trooper/speederbike trooper helmet, and there are other looks mixed in as well. I am wondering if they are just scavenging as many items as they can from the Imperial days.

Trailers then weren't like they are today. Had much lower production values. A trip to the theater meant you saw maybe a couple of minutes of trailers. That started to change in the early 90's/late 80's.

Edit: Let's be honest. What really freaked you out about the old trailers was they didn't have "That movie guy voice".
