Oh shite, another thing - he keeps waving at them and acknowledging their presence - WHY DO THEY KEEP FOLLOWING HIM FROM A DISTANCE THEN LIKE THEY'RE STILL HIDING FROM HIM? He knows you're there. Get in his back pocket. Hold his hand.

It's official, Mike has joined the Ryan Hardy cult.

I'm glad Joe got his mojo back. I was hoping the Lilly cult would be done tonight.

Until next week when he goes to yet another cult which takes him in.

What in the hell was the 'plan' that Mike and Hardy and the niece came up with for that bridge exchange? WTF?
I see no forethought really at all, and again, everyone is a terrible shot at close range.
If it was me, Mike could have just shot the bitch in the head. He had total element of surprise. Idiots.
The only other thing I can think of at the moment, is that Hardy once again gets jumped by a serial killer and turns the tables in a brutal fight and kills him, all while having a bullet wound in his abdomen. And multiple old stab wounds. And a pace maker.
ETA: Ok, I did remember something else that was not explained. Gay necrophiliac twin gets shot twice at close range and he gets up, brushes that off and fights with Mike? Bulletproof vest, or he's Michael Myers?

This is weird - the episodes for me arent recording until Saturday night. I thought they moved it for a second but apparently not

Maybe you have it set to record "Not first runs only" or something? And it only records the reruns?

Don't forget that he had been beaten up, shot, and stabbed previously. Next week he will slowly walk behind a cheerleader in the woods that is running away from. Then she will trip on a root and he will be standing over her.
I was glad that Joe finally admitted that he is a shitty writer. Now we need the writers of the show to acknowledge the same.
I am glad to see that Mike is on board with the Ryan Hardy strategy of calling in back up after you let the serial killer cult escape. Once again, it worked like a charm.

Yeah, that was awesome. A meta moment.

The plan was that they knew they would get double crossed and the bridge was a diversion while Ryan went to the house to get Joe.

C) bad writing
I also like how Joe was tipped off about the FBI. Joe's informant is the GF of the HCIC, which gives her some level of access, but she's not at the command center. Are we to believe that HCIC found the plane after expanding her search in the area, lead a team there and called her GF to say "Hi Honey, I'll be late for dinner, I'm flying to an air strip in Connecticut to arrest Joe Carrol."

Yeah, forgot about being bothered by this as well
I guess we are to assume that lesbian house mom ex-FBI cult member is glued to active FBI radio bands 24/7 and monitoring for such an event so she can warn Joe at the perfect moment.
Amazingly dedicated cult, this is.

I haven't read all the comments on last night's show, so this has probably been mentioned, but how in the world does Kevin Bacon recover from a gun shot wound in a matter of hours with just a little peroxide?
And when I say recover I mean to the point where he's running through the woods and engaging in hand to hand combat.
This show is so bad its actually great.

Mine did this last week and then other mistakes in recordings started popping up. I have DirecTV. I reset the DVR and the next day everything was back to normal.

Finally got around to this one and boy did the shitshow pick up steam as the show went on this week.
You know your show is awesome when the one sentence synopsis on DirecTV for this week's episode is "Ryan calls the FBI for help"
Other awesome tidbits: tracing Lilly's phone call the computer shows a nice little dot on the mansion (her mansion I assume? do we not check property records? was this ever explained?) with her name and number on the dot. So this was her actual cellphone and not a throw away. So why now only trace her phone? Then you have the location of Joe and Lilly's family of murderers. If you refuse to call in SWAT why not send more than one person to the mansion?
What was Lilly's plan in the end there? Drug Joe and leave him in the house with 2 people you know to be loyal to him? Why not just kill Emma? Why not turn Joe in? You already crossed him.
Best moment of the night: Joe has been heavily sedated. Emma mixes a perfume cocktail and BAM dude is awake and fully functional in seconds
The ham fisted subtlety of Hardy and Mike getting murder boners is fantastic. Remember kids: if you hunt cold blooded killers you will eventually become a cold blooded killer
And again the HCIC is at the airfield at the end: the civilian who has been getting involved in your case, his NYPD niece and an FBI agent are all there without your permission annnnnnnnnnnnnd yeah. Nothing.

Figured out my DVR problem - I have 2 other shows at the same time on Monday night that dont replay throughout the week so I have to wait until Saturday night to join in on the cult festivities.
Have fun tonight. See you at the end of the week

Agreed. Forgot about this level of stupidity last week.
And, I am having a murder boner of my own now that my term, "HCIC" is catching on.
Posted on 3/3/14 at 10:12 am to White Shadeaux
It's a good term because I can only assume she will gone after this season and there will be a new 40 something, brunette female in charge next season. I also love how she arrived at the airstrip and was not surprised to see Hardy there. Oh yeah, of course you're here. Maybe I will debrief you later. Maybe.
Let's dive into character motive for a second: Hardy's niece - what is her end game? Her uncle, the civilian, is quickly tallying up a nice body count. She goes along with the half baked scheme of trading the twin for Joe while Hardy goes to the mansion. So best case - they get Joe. But you also are going to be debriefed on WTF you were doing there in the first place and are still an accomplice to all the murders your uncle is committing. Worst case - you get into a shootout on the bridge like you did and you call in backup.
