re: The Following Season 2 ***Official Thread***Posted by White Shadeaux on 2/3/14 at 4:07 pm to etm512
Looks so, from the previews.
Have they ever addressed how they supposedly had conclusively proved he was dead last season in the explosion, yet, there he is alive n' killing?
I guess he cut off a strand of hair and tossed it in the water right before the explosion and then dove in, held his breath as he swam a half mile away underwater to the conveniently waiting cult guy?
And the FBI finds this scant remains evidence and concludes 100% that he died?
What a bunch of fricking idiots.
Wait, who am I kidding? This the "The Following".

Fox really promotes the shite outta this show.
Are they trying to make it their next 24?
Are ratings really that good?
I'll hang up and listen

This thread is gold ha. Good work rant.
I don't understand why Kevin bacon just stared down the blonde bitch the whole time from afar when he realized she was in the cult??

I'm thinking the surviving blonde victim is obviously in the cult.
Congrats to TheFolker for calling it first.

Why does the new Latin woman detective look and act like the last one. Were they so lazy that they used the same women and gave her a different name

Should've known better than checking out this thread before I caught the latest episode on On Demand.
Not sure why this show gets picked apart plotwise. Pretty sure that if the same level of scrutiny was applied to most shows, it would end up the same way. But it is fun.

To be fair, I think we all knew it instantly.

I think the twins and crew are going to make a grave mistake and underestimate Emma. We know how crazy she is. I'm going to predict now that Emma speaks French and that will come into play later when they try to get rid of her.

That's just not true at all.
Really stupid question here, as I've only seen the commercials, and I can't find the answer anywhere.
What is the deal with the guy's face (presumably that's Carroll or a vision of Carroll)? Is it supposed to look digital?

Who else likes the fluctuating southern accent from the little girl with Joe?

From DocHolliday...
I thought this as well. Then I remembered it was The Following. Where police procedure and basic human intelligence does not exist.
Such as once again, SWAT team busts in a house with known killers. Tons of SWAT members with concussion grenades and automatic weapons. I'm sure the right thing to do is have Mike go down into the dark basement all by himself, with a pistol.
This part really has been bothering me.
The FBI HCIC(Head Chick in Charge)looks exactly like the last one. The black FBI guy looks like the last one. There's 2 effeminate serial killers working with a chick that thinks she's sexier then she is. But this time, the producers said, "We'll make these effeminate killers twins! That will be different!"
Oh, and last night. Bacon is told point blank by FBI HCIC that if he goes near the blonde 'victim' ever again, she'll arrest him. And the VERY next scene, he goes see her.
And then when the cop tells Bacon that she was under orders that Bacon was not supposed to be there, the blonde chick just says "You wanna come up? Come on." And then the cop just shrugs and lets Bacon go up.
Like the cop said, "frick it. I take orders from this random blonde art gallery chick victim now."
Oh, and...Bacon is chasing the blonde in the street and at one point, he's shown to be no more then like 20 yards behind her. He's running and she's just briskly walking.
And she gets away.
This is just the things I noticed off the top of my head for now.

Well at least we know SWAT does exist in this universe now which......well actually makes things worse when you think about it

Absolutely my favorite part of last night.

Also, again, no pacemaker issues. Must have gotten an upgrade on that thing or something.
Another favorite part of mine was the hooker's plan to shoot Joe instead of just maybe dialing 911 on her phone while he was outside doing shite. Call the cops, say he showed up and forced you to house him. But I guess trying to shoot him in the back with a pistol that weighed next to nothing since there were no bullets in it was a better plan.
Oh and back to the raid on the apartment - if the FBI used surveillance cameras to track down where Emma was living, why not maybe look at those cameras again to see a) if she was home since she is your top suspect on the loose or b) see where the frick she went?

It is on CSI Miami levels of writing and Fox advertises it like it's the most suspenseful show in the history of TV

Yeah, I guess you can chalk that up to being scared or tense or whatever. But, you're right. Why not just say you're going into town to get groceries, or call the cops. Something. Oh well.
I find it more disturbing that the daughter kills her, mainly because she was never going to be able to leave there or some shite. What logic is that? Was she a prisoner of her mom? Stupid.

Good point. They jumped the gun, again. Complete lack of tactics.
ETA: Oh and...they got camera surveillance of Emma all over the city, but not anywhere near that hotel with the 2 effeminate brothers and the French bitch?
