It was The Shining for me too. Those creepy little ghost girls showing up and the whole "redrum" thing...I still skip over that movie when it's on tv.

Eta: also the naked chick that starts kissing him in the bathroom and then she turns into this decomposed corpse. Yeah that was kinda traumatizing.

I'm not sure why, but Flatliners brought me to the realization that all humans die. Then I started thinking about what happens after you die and that scared me a lot. I didn't watch the whole movie then and still to this day I have not seen the whole thing. It wasn't the movie that scared me, however it was the first time I had began thinking about death.

I don't know why it was this movie that did it, but as a kid, I had never really sat down and thought about what happens when you die. I was 9 at the time.

It didn't really make me want to run to my mom's bed or anything but I saw Saving Private Ryan when I was about 10.

That scene where Mellish was stabbed in the heart slowly creeped me out and has always stuck with me.

Pet Sematary

Saw it right after a cat the same color as Church crawled in a dryer my sister left open and my Mom put clothes in and fluff dried his arse. When we buried him the only soft spot in the yard was right under my brother and my bedroom window.I rearranged our bedroom and put his bed that window so if that cat came back to life he would get it first.Cause frick him I'm running.

Though I saw this when I was older, I don't know that any scene in movie has affected me more.

Pet Cemetery

The part where something is rocking back and forth in a chair next to a bed.

I would turn the chair in my room to face to the opposite side of my bed due to that shite.

I'm pretty sure the movie was called "Dolls"

but it was a horror movie where the little girl dolls came to life and killed everyone.

I would freak out when I was a kid when my sister left her dolls hanging around the house.

I don't remember if it was the first or not, but I do remember that scene from Ernest Scared Stupid where the troll ends up in the bed with the little girl scaring the living shite out of me

Agree. Saw it when I was around 8 years old. Messed me up real bad. Devil movies would still frick with me into my mid-20s.

But I'm over that now. Now Jaws...I still don't like being in the ocean sober.
