CSB Tyme:
back in the 80s i was semi-responsible for giving one of ATHF’s creators his first job in television (he was 17 at the time)
he was one of two applicants for a parttime production assistant gig, and our ops manager came to me and one of the other PAs and said “put these guys on a studio camera one at a time and see what they can do, i’ll hire whichever one you recommend”
first guy did ok, second guy just blew us away with how fluid his camera moves were, then asked if we minded if he experimented a little - then did this really complex truck/zoom/drop focus move and we said “thats the guy”
really funny, hardworking dude who was a kickass guitarist as well - i’ll have to reach out to him and see what he’s up to these days
