re: The Fargo Season 2 Thread - Monday's 9PM Central

Fargo is definitely one of the best things on television right now. Both seasons were great. However, I re-watched season one a couple of weeks ago and it seems like I'm in the minority but I thought it was better than season two. I just really enjoyed the Lester and Malvo characters more than any character in season two. Malvo was a more entertaining killer than Hanzee. How he set up Dennis (from Always Sunny)'s death... the adderall+plague stunt he pulled on the grocery store owner... "Lester, have you been a bad boy?"... "Aces"... everything he did was genius. Everywhere he went, chaos followed. I hope they eventually do a season with a young Malvo.

Without reading this thread or episode reviews, I would have never connected these dots.
neither would I, but he is without a doubt either
a. the same guy as the Tripoli guy who was killed by malvo in season 1 (in the massacre of the building in front of Key and Peele)
or
b. an unofficial "Tripoli" family member somehow involved in running the Fargo operation from season 1
I'm hoping it is the 2nd option. I'm sure all of the questions we still have will be answered in season 3 at some point. It was really cool to see all of the references to season 1 that came out in the season 2 finale. Seems that a lot of people didn't like the finale, but I liked it. The entire season was really action-packed and suspenseful, thought they did a good job in the final episode of tying up all the storylines. I'd like a little bit more clarification on the UFO thing. Unless I missed something, nobody really mentioned anything about it after the fact. I think that's all I would be talking about if it happened to me. Maybe it was just a part of the unreliable narration of that one episode (from the history of true crime book narrated by Martin Freeman).

Lou and Hank talk about leaving the ufo sighting off the official report. That's all I heard mentioned about it.

Having not seen S1, S2 finale left me with a bit of a "not enough meat on the bone" feeling, ya know. Now with all the chatter here of the "connecting dots", S1 here I come. And then a re-watch of S2. Darn it, eh.
Oh....perhaps UFO preludes S3 more, ya know just maybe.

They show the shots of all the dead Gerhardts, implying the family is wiped out, but Bear's son (the cripple) is still alive. Maybe he is excepted because he is sort of an innocent?

They should of saved some of that action for the finale it was a little heavy on talking for my taste
But still fantastic season

I took last night's ep as more of an epilogue than a finale.

Keen observation. Fantastic show, so intricate & nuanced. Looking forward to Season 3 already.

I don't know. It's more like two different flavors of ice cream.
It's been a while since I've seen a 7 year old kid stab a man to death in his brain stem or get asphalted alive into a pothole.

I have avoided reading anything in this thread. Just about to wrap up season 1. Anyone know an approximate timeline for Hulu to get season 2?

Could the aliens appearances have something to do with Hank's new language.

All of the season two episodes are on the FX website.

Im still pissed about the aliens.
Just a blemish on an otherwise near perfect 10 episodes.

End for Milligan reminded me of Vic's end on the Shield.
