The book is almost certainly going to be better than the film will end up being.
It's one of the best autobiographies ever written.

My understanding it's been a fairly decent shoot .... can't speak to whether it's going to be a good film. But with a 15M budget for Netflix and NOLA standing in for LA it's going to be tough.
