Well, in this thread... how about where I told you why I thought the ending made sense and you acted like I'm an idiot.

Are you familiar with mature discussion?

I don't really have a problem. I've just seen it from you several times before. Most recently, how about you making fun of Bacon's suit? Or attacking JeauxBleaux and his daughter?

I'm not the board police by any means, but you seem to have a hair trigger.

Bacon made some stupid comments about "hating the frat pack," to which your response was similar to if I got pissed any time someone told me the LNST sucks.

And you lashed out at Jeaux because he told you you have a vagina.

Aside from you two jerking each other off in this thread, I didn't like the ending of The Departed either. Thought it turned an incredible movie into one that was just "good."

+1

I think the first 95% of The Departed is phenomenal, but I hated the ending. It was almost like they ran out of material. The ending didn't ruin the movie for me. I still watch it whenever it comes on, but the ending (at least for me) was pretty unsatisfying even though Colin got what was coming to him.

How did they edit the violence (namely the ending) in the FX version? Was the movie even remotely enjoyable to watch that way?

I was wondering this too. Wasn't the F-word used 287 times? Did they show costello's african american dildo? Did they show him throwing the cocaine on the african american hooker?

they literally made it invisible...like frank was holding up nothing in that scene.

I will have to check this out next time it's on cable. I would like to see how the invisible dildo looks.

Billy sent another copy of the tape to Dignam. Billy'd planned for Dignam to be there when he apprehended Colin on the roof of that building.

I didn't like the ending. The thing is, I couldn't STAND DiCaprio until this movie, and then he really reeled me in with this character, and then the ending. I actually got pissed.

And I really didn't figure out what was up with Mark Wahlberg at the end. I couldn't tell if he was clean or dirty.

it's a titanic thing ain't it? don't know why dicaprio gets all the hate he does, he's been more than solid in every role that he's had.

Yeah, I think he is one of the best younger actors right now.
