Come on, the Incredibles? An animated movie is not better than The Dark Knight. It's an open opinionated question, so there is no wrong answer, but I can't take an animated movie seriously.
I didn't like any of the Hulk movies or Thor. The X Men movies were pretty good too.
The Avengers was Ok. I thought it would be better.
For me, The Dark Knight, the 1st Iron Man and the X Men were the best. In that order.

There are three Toy Story films that are better than The Dark Knight.

BTW, check this out....
Thank you for reminding me how horribly stupid that movie was. Silverstone's arse in plether was legit though.

If fricking pixar would make some dark animated stories they'd get a lot more credibility from award shows. I think dark and twisted animated movies could be epic if done well.

I've been wanting Pixar to make a movie and market it strictly to adults for years. I think it could be awesome.

Actually, some DC Comics animated flicks are surprisingly dark for cartoons. I know it's still superheroes but some of them are marketed for an older crowd.

I saw Batman and I think it was Phantom something or other and I really liked it.

Check out The Dark Knight Returns. Both movies.
They were well done.
They were well done.

I want Pixar to make a movie that deals with a real life family struggle (Up was close) but not sugar it up by making the characters Toys or Cars or what not. Don't get me wrong I love Pixar movies but I think they could make a legit best picture flick if they got down in the dirt a bit.

Yeah I don't think Pixar has any intention of making a movie only for adults. They have a money machine as is.

After all this talk I decided to watch tdk again. Not sure how many times I've seen this, but it's a lot. Man nothing comes close to Nolan's batman trilogy. So good. I love that everytime the joker is on screen you get that eerie one string note being played. It's perfect.
As for xmen first class. I really enjoyed that one too, but it's not In the same ballpark as tdk. Though I would watch an entire movie of Michael fassbender as Erik Lensherr seeking retribution against nazis. Fantastic.

Honestly, I liked The Crow better than TDK.

One of the greatest soundtracks ever.

it's interesting, during Rises I kept thinking to myself "He didn't put down the cape because he was getting old, it's because he needed vocal reconstruction after all those years of talking like a creeper"
In Rises, I had a problem with it, simply because there's no reason he should be using it half that time. Half the characters know his identity. I especially thought it was dumb during the scene where he gives Catwoman the tumbler.

For me the original Superman movie with Reeve is the top. I don't know if I'll ever watch one that tops it for me.

You need to see better animated movies.

You know, I always roll my eyes when people complain about the voice. Wtf else was he supposed to do aside from getting a voice modulator??
But that's actually a really good point. It honestly never occurred to me that he didn't need to do it in TDKR. Wtf
I guess it could just be that's his identity when he puts on the suit. Maybe even subconscious at that point and he doesn't even think about it.
I've debated this ad nauseum on this board so I won't again, but Begins is still easily my favorite and the best film in the trilogy IMO.
Love TDK, but it's barely even a Batman movie IMO. Batman is Clarice to Joker's Hannibal Lector. Except we don't learn anything about Batman or his psychology.
Also, the idea that Batman had to take the blame for Dent's death and the dirty cops he killed instead of blaming Joker when he was a terrorist who destroyed half the city, murdered several influential citizens openly and straight up said he was going to kill more, not to mention basically did kill Dent anyway when he blew his face off, killed his fiance and twisted him into a psychopathic killer anywa is just straight up fricking stupid and contrived
Oh, and the whole two boats one bomb thing pretty much makes Joker the logical suspect in ANY crime that happened during those few days. But fricking Batman takes the blame???? Oh right, well we have to turn him into THE DARK KNIGHT cause that's the name of the movie.
Pretty sure Gotham would have had no problem assuming Dent and the dirty cops he killed were Joker's victims as well, which ultimately they really were, as Dent was just another one of his tools, instead of pinning it on fricking Batman who is clearly not a villian throughout the entire damn movie and Begins.
Believe it or not, that's me NOT getting into it
PS- I like TDK. A lot. I really do. It's great for what it is. It's only when people try to build it up as some cinematic masterpiece that I feel the need to point out the GLARING problems with the movie.
Also, it's long as fuuuuuuck when it really didn't need to be.
Now, is Ledger's performance the best in a super hero movie?? Absolutely. But that doesn't make it the best movie of all time.
Daniel Day Lewis just turned in one of the best acting performances that I have ever seen in his masterful creation of Lincoln. But the movie wasn't even in most people's top 5 movies of the year. It was a vehicle for a great performance, which is really what TDK is IMO.
