I guess this is a thing. I absolutely love the original movie. I'm not sure how I feel about this.

It was recently revealed by comic creator O’Barr that The Crow will start production in February 2018, first beginning with pre-production and presumably filming a little later in the year. Momoa has seemingly confirmed that timeline with his latest social media post. Currently he’s still on the promotional tour for his upcoming DC Comics team-up, Justice League, which hits theaters this week. Even if he were to take a short break after wrapping up promotional duties for Justice League, The Crow will need to start early next year and film before the actor has to head out on the Aquaman solo movie promotional tour in the later half of 2018.

News that Hardy and Momoa will finally get to start work on The Crow reboot will come as a relief to fans looking forward to their take on the story of Eric Draven – a man who was killed violently, along with his fiancée, by members of a gang, but who is resurrected by a crow in order to seek vengeance. Of course, the original The Crow movie is beloved thanks to its cult status, and many think a reboot is unnecessary, including director Proyas.

If it's a continuation of the story, I'm fine with it. It sets up well for sequels, IMO.

if they are trying to remake the original, they can go to hell.

I dig the original, but I always figured they'd eventually remake it.

It's a time capsule of greatness.

Still love just turning on Burn and chilling.

I like Mamoa. It's hard to picture him as Eric though.

This project has been talked about for years with about 50 different actors attached to it.

It's a relic of the mid-nineties and a good one.

When X-Men were wearing every color of the homo rainbow (pick any shade from Black to yellow).

When Superman and Batman were busy being dead and broken.

When every other hero had swords with guns with more swords attached to the gun sword.

The Crow was a quiet little comic and a fun action movie set in dystopia around the corner, USA.

It was the last of them and arguably the best of them.
