I agree here. We've seen during the season on some challenges where Devin gets gassed out. I actually think it would have been better had CT went in the other direction. It would have been interesting to see who Tori would have picked.

The positive is that the other team isn't well... smart. They'd have a meltdown if there's another puzzle or math problem in the next leg.

CT guaranteed himself advancement to the final round by picking Devin. If there is a puzzle and math challenge, he is working with the only person who can beat him.

If the next round is physical, they may lose. But that means he has the easiest foe in the final elimination.

Most likely it’s a hybrid, and CT and Devin easily win because Nelson and Kyle (and Nany/Kaycee) all suck at puzzles.

I’m really struggling to see how Tori and CT don’t win it next week.

With it being a puzzle plus geography knowledge and flag identification, I could totally see production telling him “don’t knock yours over or we will be here for 2 days.”

nany - CT didnt knock over his puzzle, so im going to take that opportunity to cheat. then she proceeds to finish the puzzle last

I get why the second guys' elimination wasn't physical... would have been brutal for Emanuel to do two physical eliminations in one night. He would have probably whipped Nelson or Kyle in that one though.

CT has to be a huge mens favorite... I feel like going in I would have had Tori and Kaycee close but now it's definitely Tori.

Every time I see Nelson talk I wonder who in the world would hire him if he wasnt a reality tv star. The guy sure can run fast though. He was probably a helluva high school football player.

Tori was even more annoying than usual on this past episode. She is a try too hard fake.

Nany....SMH

CT is the favorite, but I would prefer someone else win. For the franchise to continue it needs people other than CT and Bananas to begin carrying the crown.

yup he is positioned perfectly unless the next leg is 100% physical endurance which doesnt seem likely. if there are any puzzles involved kyle and nelson are screwed. but kyle/nelson are likely going to have eliminate the other but that is a solid toss up.

none of the girls are good at puzzles maybe tori/emy is decent enough for a similar advantage. either way nany is going to anchor kaycee puzzle/speed/endurance/literally anything.

wouldve been much more interesting if CT picked opposite devin. i think tori+emy wouldve still gone with CT so the girls would be in the same spot, but anchor devin. im not sure where kyle would have gone. he wants the win so maybe CT but hes besties with devin so maybe devin. he wouldnt have had much time to decide with nelson on his heels.

nah folks always like to see champs champing. but they are getting old and dont have too many more crowns to carry. CT is even going into movies now. bananas may make a few appearances when CT is out. altho i see some of your point seeing as its more boring than the past now CT isnt a huge target the whole game. but goddamn hes uncle ct now

Can we agree that this has been one of the worst seasons of THE past 15 years? It’s dragged on for way too long with no drama, forced storylines, and CT will easily waltz unchallenged to another 500k.

Eman and Spanish Thor were good additions. But the guys remaining are just an embarrassing crop. Nelson and Devin are both 3rd tier mids and I can’t stand another week of Kyle’s grating interviews.

They need to bounce BACK with a loaded cast on the male side and new format because this season was absolutely dreadful.

I still don't understand Nany, Devin, etc...they can't get as big as CT or Tori but why don't they work on their cardio? I have no sympathy for these idiots that go on the show and are out of shape. Also I get that Devin didn't go off on Tori because he might have to work with her in the final but I'd never trust her again. Tori saying she wanted both guys to win yet is giving Emanuel help is BS. If she really felt that way she wouldn't help either and let'm battle it out.

Brad said on John's podcast this week that the big show is filming for a full 3 months or more now, while All Stars are basically filming on the fly, probably only a month or so.

I think they used to film a full Challenge season in about 2 months.

John sounded like he wouldnt be back on the MTV shoe anytime soon. I think he's sick of the stress and format of that show. Brad, though, told him he needed to come on All Stars, because of how fun it was and how much it felt like the old seasons. He also hinted that it's much much easier to play All Stars than the big Challenge, and it still has a $500K prize. I'm sure the episode appearance fee is quite a bit less, though.

When push comes to shove Kyle always, always chooses what's best for Kyle, and whatever gives him the best chance to survive/move on. He would have 100% picked CT in that situation IMO (not realizing that he may potentially have to face off against CT in an elimination).

This is a bad take and you should feel embarassed for yourself. Kyle is the best thing that's happened to this show in years.

Devin isn't going to go out and run a competitive marathon or anything, but he's definitely in better shape now than he was when he first came on the show. Nany... no.

To be fair, Devin is in likely the best physical shape he's ever been on the show.

It has to be less since it's only on P+ and not actual TV. And if John isn't coming back any time soon, then he's as good as done from the Challenge. He's not getting any younger. Although he does seem like someone who wuold crave the fame enough to do it as long as possible...but that being said, it doesn't explain his absence for the last few seasons. So who knows.

I thought Johnny had explained his absence because he was trying to branch out with his travel show, and taking 2 months (sounds like it's 3 now) twice a year made that hard.

Yeah, I haven't seen all the seasons she's been on but she basically seems to coast through seasons on this reputation of being bigger and more athletic than the other girls but doesn't really seem to do well when she has to perform as an individual.

I know we talked about this earlier in the thread but I actually thought the format was interesting and new:

Bring in a shite ton of rookies. They may not be able to play the game as well as the vets, but at least they'll have numbers.

Instead the vets immediately targeted the rookies and the rookies just sat there and let it happen because they were too scared or too unfamiliar with each other to form a counterweight.

The vets basically took the drama out of the show and made it too predictable which I don't think is how the creators/producers envisioned it.

The rookies folded at basically every opportunity they had to put pressure on the vets. Even down to the last few, Logan called out Emanuel instead of Devin or Nelson.
