CT had a personality and was feared. Fessy will never be CT. No one fears him. He’s just insecure about himself.

Why do they give Josh so much airtime? He’s insufferable. I’m trying to remember when the last time there’s been a main character this bad

Amanda was pretty bad.

Ashley has been pretty bad.

I don't think either of them are on Josh's level, though.

Nelson was on instagram live and talked about a lot of the stuff we didn't see on this episode

quote:

Nelson is happy people feel he’s finally growing for the better. He also said his mom slapped him for how he spoke to Kailah last season and he knew he needed to stop acting up because his mom isn’t having it anymore and getting upset with his former behavior lol.

Also from that link:
quote:

Nelson went on live with Devin and they chatted a lot. Basically Devin has no respect for Fessy or how he played this game. What bothers him most is that this is only Fessy’s second season so there is no way to justify him doing what he did, as opposed to someone like Nany or Leroy who have done many seasons and never won so they say “let me do something different this time and see if it works after all these years”. Fessy showed who he is as opposed to it just being game in Devin’s eyes.

I just don't understand this. So Fessy can't make a big move or do what he thinks is best to win because it's only his second season? That's the fricked up, stupid logic that always flaws the Challenges IMO. So if Leroy or Nany would've made the exact same move, it's all good because they suck and have never won? Get the frick out of here with that shite.

I don't think Fessy plays a great game either, but what he did last night was 100% the right move for him IMO. It's literally the one challenge he may be unbeatable at outside of someone like CT who can just match him on brute strength. And then switching partners and dumping Aneesa was 100% the right call too; she's nothing but dead weight to him. She has almost zero clout politically anymore, and she sucks in almost all aspects of the actual challenges outside of puzzles. Her weaknesses vastly outweigh her strengths and it's not close.

That's why one season I'd love it if all the rookies came in together on the same page and made some big plays early against the vets. Even if it didn't pay off, it would be a smart move instead of sitting there being lied to by vets and waiting to be slowly picked off and sacrificed to the eliminations one by one. For as much as I can't stand Paulie sometimes, I feel like he tried to make moves like that at times. His problem was that he didn't have enough support because he was such a prick.

He asked Tori to send him in as soon as he was it was a hall brawl, just because it was Nelson shouldn't change that, and it didn't.

I think the point is it’s his second season and he has no idea how to play the game, yet he acts like he does.

He talks a huge game but he’s not as good as he makes himself out to be. Didn’t he gas out in the final last year?

He’s also fake as frick I loved the part where he said he and Cory are now boys because he went to his gender reveal that’s like saying so and so is my best friend because I stopped by my birthday party

Tori put Josh on blast on her podcast.

According to her, Josh came to her off camera the day of that elimination and asked her not to put him in

LINK

Which made his fake getting pumped up to go down routine hilarious

Dude is pathetic

That's part of it, sure. But a big part of it seems to be because it's only his second season and he's making moves. Look at what Devin said that I quoted above...had Nany or Leroy done the same thing it seems like Devin would've been good with it since they are vets and "trying to win" basically. It's like all the vets think the rookies have to come in and eat shite for five seasons before they're "allowed" to play the game how they want to. Which is ridiculous of course.

She beat Ashley pretty bad in the first elimination and has really been laying low since.

I hate Josh as much as the next person but he really is perfect for the show. Irrational confidence man. Thinks he’s smarter than everyone. Will talk shite but will also cry and say he’s not mean or bad guy. He’s pretty much identical to a lot of great challenge females.

This wasn't even a smart move long-term. This is his second season on the challenge and he had actually formed a pretty good alliance that would carry on through future season. But he thought it was a good idea to possibly piss off everyone and have no one trust him going forward nor protect him? He doesn't have Wes' ability to manipulate people. I think it's going to come back to burn him in the future.

Yeah agreed, I mentioned earlier it’s been clear since Big Brother that he just has zero awareness of how to move strategically.

He was burned by people he thought were allies on that show, so I think ultimately he just wanted to take it into his own hands and get his skull because he was scared he might be getting played again by people that were just using him as their muscle.

quote:

He had, at minimum, fifty pounds on Nelson and had to play really dirty to beat him.

Eh I think that was exaggerated. I highly doubt that challenge lasted more than 10-15 seconds. They did the classic Challenge move of showing the same few moments from different angles over and over again in slow motion with dramatic music mixed in to make it look much closer than it was, although Nelson did use his speed well to get to the buzzer and make it close once they disengaged.

The second run was not even close (Nelson saying he gave up because he was just deflated because he though they were friends is lol worthy).

Body slamming is NOT dirty in that challenge imo. Not at all.

And are we just forgetting about Fess fighting CT to a draw on the truck challenge earlier in the episode?

quote:

Nelson was on instagram live and talked about a lot of the stuff we didn't see on this episode

Again, Nelson is obviously going to say that stuff after the fact, especially because hes pissed and doesn’t like him anymore. Him saying he was dirty because he kneeled on his hand that was already hurt is just sour grapes. Even if it was intentional by Fess, it easily could have been an accident as they were fricking wrestling for crying out loud, I still don’t see that as dirty really.

Putting dirt in his face might be low, not illegal, but again I don’t think that was necessarily a plan. You’re reaching and grabbing for anything trying to move your opponent backwards and if you happen to get a handful of dirt and then that gets thrown up into his face while you’re searching for something to latch onto I guess that happens.

Yeah TJ said no more dirty stuff but that’s probably because Nelson and his crew spent the break between runs whining about how Fessy was cheating blah blah blah because they knew he was going home and TJ was just throwing them a bone and giving more drama for the episode.

If there was actually illegal shite going on TJ would have stopped it mid challenge which he’s done before.

quote:

you're crazy. For one, until Fessy backpacks a guy like Bananas, he will not be as prime CT was. And CT really didn't care for the political side of the challenge and really didn't care who he pissed off or made friends with. And the big difference between Fessy and CT is that CT wasn't scared of going into any elimination like Fessy is. Fessy bitched out big time in the first elimination. He literally only wanted to do hall brawl because he has an almost unfair advantage.

Yeah I agree with all that.

CT was unhinged. Fess while huge and a great athlete, is a pretty laid back and docile guy.

He’ll never have that mental power of fear over others like CT did.

I think that was clear in the truck wrestle. Fess just doesn’t have that rabid dog mentality. On paper he should have been able to take CT physically at this stage in his life, but CT’s mental edge got him the tie.

FWIW Tori and Anessa had Nelson on their podcast. They said Nelson battled and for a while they didn't know who was going to win that first heat and it lasted longer than it appeared. They also said Fessy got really dirty.

Nelson did and Instagram video with Devin also, but I haven't had time to watch it.

This weeks episode seemed to really bring out drama surrounding Fessy...and Tori. Tori addressed rumors about hooking up with Fessy on her podcast and was a guest on another podcast where she talked about her split with Jordan and how she didn't want it...which Jordan followed up later and wasn't happy she spoke publicly about it. Fessy's BB cast mate/ girlfriend then went public about their relationship and she wasn't aware they were done while he was filming the show and that she and Fessy talked on the phone throughout filming. Fessy followed up saying he thought he'd broken up after she got a new apartment for them, but since it was a one bedroom and she decorated it with her stuff, he didn't feel like it was his/ theirs. Fessy will be on the Challenge Mania podcast tomorrow so it should be a pretty entertaining shite show.

Turbo could have been the psychotic Turkish version of CT if they weren't scared he might legitimately kill someone for saying something he didn't understand but thought was an insult.

Fessy is a big strong guy, but he's nowhere on the psychosis level of classic roid/coke CT or Turbo.

CT punched a gay kid in his sleep and nearly killed Adam. He also tried to fight him on their RW Paris season for no reason.

Landon and Rachel back in the day both said he should have been banned from the show forever. He was unsafe to be around, but production actually encouraged his lunacy, they thought.

He was also off the show entirely for like 2-3 years. When he cameoed on Cutthroat in Backpack elimination, he said he never thought he was getting a call back ever again, so he came in there guns blazing for that Elim.

Turbo it also seems is legit unisnurable and he probably will never be back.

Fessy is big dumb big brother reality show fake tough guy it feels like. I can never seen him going nuts like the old CT and Turbo.

He really should have been banned permanently but MTV was much more lax with that sort of thing back then. I think Kenny and Evan would not have been banned if Tonya didn't file a lawsuit. MTV has only cracked down on fighting the last few years.

This.

It's a telling sign that i just watched the most recent episode last night after getting tired of watched Bama kick the shite out of OSU.

The season has been boring as hell with BB/Kam/Leroy/Corey running the house. Fessy did it right. If you are going heal, go full heal. Burn it all down.

I watched some old clips a few days ago. I forgot just how psychotic old school CT was. Like roided out, long hair CT when he punched Adam on that Challenge season. He was insane and appeared to clearly be coked out of his mind. I’ll never understand Diem’s infatuation with him.

I watched a clip of best Challenge fights too. Man I love that Brad/Darrell fight. Darrell wanted nothing to do with that because he knew he would roll Brad, but he kept pushing and pushing until Darrell shut him the frick up. And then got mad at him for making him do it.
