I think eventually all 10 skulls will be 'owned' with more eliminations forthcoming, so they will be forced to go after someone with a skull to take it.

However, if the right people are in power, they could pit two people without skulls against each other, which would suck for them if none are available.

I hadn't really thought about someone getting two skulls... would that then be like an extra life in the game? If so, I could see someone getting two skulls and then intentionally going in against a friend and throwing the challenge. For that reason, I doubt it'll be possibly to get two skulls, but you never know.

No. Remember last year with Jay. He got 2 skulls after getting sent in for the guys Weeks 1 and 2 eliminations. Then Rogan took him out Week 3 and “took his skull”.

So on that same token, would one skull now be out of play and only 9 remaining? Or would it just get thrown back in? I think smartest strategy is to go into final with least amount of people possible to up your chances. Keep throwing in skull winners against each other later in the game, and give the others as few of chances as possible (assuming that’s possible, maybe it isn’t).

I still think the producers make it up as they go.

Great episode, good on Fessy. I bet the producers gave him the heads-up on it as the dude doesn’t strike me as the sharpest dude who could make that deal right away, but good on him either way. We need more villains.

Didn’t Jay win two eliminations last year, thus theoretically would’ve gotten two skulls? They didn’t do shite for him, and he still went home once eliminated.

Yeah, but last season there wasn't a finite number of skulls up for grabs, so although Jay did win two eliminations, it's not quite an apples to apples comparison because everyone who won an elimination got a skull.

ETA: Rogan didn't necessarily take Jay's skull, he just won one of his own by winning the elimination.

I strongly suspect there won’t be an opportunity to have multiple skulls save you. No way. If you lose, you’re out regardless of skulls earned to that point.

Plus there’s no way in hell TJ holds an elimination with someone throwing it to a friend and still remaining in the house with a skull, haha.

Yeah, I think that was just the phrasing they were using at the time.

But if same scenario happened this season and a skull winner goes home, I’m curious if that skull is lost or if it’s back up for grabs later and back in play. That’s what I was trying to theorize initially.

I would think it goes back up for grabs.

But, they also do seem to be making up rules as they go.

I'm wondering if TJ has been the one deciding if it's a girl's elimination or a guy's. It wouldn't surprise me.

I thought it was rather obvious, especially when he told Mechie that the next elimination would decide his partner, that it was a guys' day.

And yet it took half the episode for anyone to realize that.

They have had a few girls get injured lately so that may have come into play but its still weird to have three guys' eliminations in a row. I wonder if we will get multiple girls' eliminations in a row now.

and it seemed like nelson was the one that figured it out and he's the one who got fricked

zero issue with fessy right now. he's thinking that there is (at least) ONE elimination that i know for a fact i can beat everyone in the house and it's a distinct looking elimination. so i will see it and know that it's happening and when it does, i want it. i don't care who the other person is.

to top it off, the people that actually want fessy gone now are just shittier versions of him. like maybe a devin or wes type would try to take him in a puzzle, but corey and josh cant do that, either. i liked the move.

downside, i do like nelson. idk why, but i do. he's a lovable clown type. does stupid shite and acts a little too hard, but i like him.

lastly, josh is the worst character this show has seen in years. racking my brain to think of someone with his combination of insufferable and incompetent and just cant do it.

I'd bet it's 100% about having two girls leave for injuries.

If they're trying to keep the guy/girl teams then they need to keep the guy/girl rotation pretty consistent.

If you watch his Big Brother season you will hate him even more.

I have done a complete 180 on him. I used to be indifferent on him during his AYTO season, then I hated him because of his idiotic antics (fighting with Derrick and others and doing the whole "young buck" bullshite), but now I really like him as well.

You hit the nail on the head. He's a lovable moron, who seems to actually be a decent guy, espcially now that he's matured ever so slightly.

He's also self aware that he's an idiot. I think it was last year, when he knew he was going into elimination, and he basically told the guys voting, 'hey, I'm stupid. If we get a puzzle, you win and I'm going home.'

I still think the Cory thing from last year was kind of staged, but it was still a great moment for the show.

TJ likes to act like it's "his game" and "his final", but he is literally nothing more than a talking rules explainer.

He obviously gets a heads up before all challenges snd eliminations, probably in a production meeting, but there's simply no way he makes any real decisions for the game itself on the show. It's all production who decides everything.

TJ may have an opinion on things like kicking people off the show, but those decisions, as well as game decisions are ultimately made by the producers.

He has in the past almost said as much. In old interviews, which he rarely gave, he kind of says all he doesn't even know about the drama and goings on in the house unless a producer tells him. He basically just has a working vacation with his family at an off site home for every shoot.

So Tori and Fessy? Cory says she’s engaged so I assume this is before she and Jordan break up. She was looking good in those PJs though. I like Fessy aight, but love Jordan.

Devin is such an a-hole. He makes for good TV sometimes but other times it feels like he’s trying so hard to be an a-hole. Honestly it feels like he’s trying to be the “next” John Banana.

This challenge seems hard as frick. Flying drones when you can see is pretty tough I think. So add in not seeing shite, and then having someone try to explain to you which directions to go? Borderline impossible. I have a feeling just finishing the challenge could win the whole thing.

It reminds me of how much I enjoyed drone racing when it used to come on TV (hasn’t in forever though), and how impressive it is what those drivers can do.

And I love that TJ is sitting right next to them making fun of them the whole time.

I can’t even fathom how terrible it would be to be in a relationship with Lolo. Like not even a little bit.

Aneesa’s disgusting fat arms/shoulders are messing with me right now.

Josh is saying he’s ready to go in, but I suspect a meltdown is incoming. I love that Josh is so much of a titty baby that even Jay is getting some screen time because he’s talking about how annoying he is.

And Josh is saying Fessy is his boy but Fessy is saying Cory and Nelson are his boys. Hmmm.

This is the first time I’ve noticed Amber M this season.

I hope Josh wants Jay and he gets the vote. And then I hope it’s physical and Jay beats his arse. That would make my day.

Nelson: “I can’t sacrifice myself for somebody else because then I’m never gonna get anywhere.” Except that’s literally what you did last season, and you lost. Maybe you learned something?

Also Nelson: “I thought it was a smart thing picking Amber because she was a rookie.” Nope. Good to see he’s still just as stupid as always.

Hall Brawl. Let’s go!

It’s complete bullshite that they won’t say if it’s a guy or girl elimination. That being said though, I like that they keep throwing curve balls at the cast. I just hope there aren’t too many that the game gets stupid.

Didn’t TJ tell Mechie that his partner will be determined at the next elimination? So clearly that would mean it’s a guy elimination, right?

Holy shite, Fessy next to Nelson looks like a fricking giant. I forget just how big he is and how small most of the challenge dudes are. 6’7” ain’t no joke.

I still say my strategy for Hall Brawl would be to go in low and then try to hurdle the other guy and try to beat him to the button. And then try to squeeze under him on one of the other two rounds.

How is Fessy playing dirty? If he’s rubbing dirt in his eyes or something I get that. But if all he’s doing is picking him up and slamming him down that’s not really dirty IMO.

Also, this was the smart move for Fessy. Not only does it come down to size and strength but he’s literally a football player. And in this game with as many weird things that happen, you gotta take your chances when you can. And Fessy missed a chance with the previous elimination that he passed on.

I can’t stand Nelson and think he’s literally stupid. But I feel like he’s a good dude though.

And why do people think Fessy stupid (or that it was dirty) for dropping Aneesa and taking Kaycee? She’s dead fricking weight and sucks. And Kaycee is good, and cool too. Now I’m almost pulling for Fessy just because everybody is freaking the frick out in the house about him making obvious smart moves.

I do like the switching partners thing though. It neutralizes alliances a good bit. And as much as I hate Aneesa and think she sucks, she’s the smart choice for Leroy.

This was a good episode. Can’t wait to see the fallout. And it looks like Fessy tells Josh how much of a pussy he is every season next week.

I think I said that earlier in the thread, how it would be awesome if one badass person just kept going in and winning all the skulls and then winning the final by default.

Why do they give Josh so much airtime? He’s insufferable. I’m trying to remember when the last time there’s been a main character this bad

What an episode. That could honestly be one of the most important moves in the Challenge in a long time.

Fessy gave the lame arse Corey/Nelson alliance some real power. Now that’s torched. The rest of the house will be coming for Fessy any time it looks like it might be a puzzle... but idk if any one will have the balls to pull it off due to the potential repercussions if he wins. He just became CT from a decade ago without a coke and roid rage problem.

The only downside is that we didn’t get to see Josh in a hall brawl. He 100% would’ve gotten his big arse EMBARRASSED.

what repercussions? Fessy is too stupid to know how to use the power he could have in a smart way. This wasn't even a smart move long-term. This is his second season on the challenge and he had actually formed a pretty good alliance that would carry on through future season. But he thought it was a good idea to possibly piss off everyone and have no one trust him going forward nor protect him? He doesn't have Wes' ability to manipulate people. I think it's going to come back to burn him in the future.

And he's really not as good in challenges that aren't only based on how huge you are. He played football at 6'5" 245. He had, at minimum, fifty pounds on Nelson and had to play really dirty to beat him. Nelson was on instagram live and talked about a lot of the stuff we didn't see on this episode

Here's a link to the reddit thread on it

you're crazy. For one, until Fessy backpacks a guy like Bananas, he will not be as prime CT was. And CT really didn't care for the political side of the challenge and really didn't care who he pissed off or made friends with. And the big difference between Fessy and CT is that CT wasn't scared of going into any elimination like Fessy is. Fessy bitched out big time in the first elimination. He literally only wanted to do hall brawl because he has an almost unfair advantage.

Turbo could have been the psychotic Turkish version of CT if they weren't scared he might legitimately kill someone for saying something he didn't understand but thought was an insult.
