Looks like a "Hangover" for females to me...

Aside from the fact that it has to do with a wedding and that the new in-law is the scene stealer, not really. Thats what I was expecting walking into the film, but the two are completely different. I'd say its closer in structure to "I Love You Man" than "The Hangover".

Saw it with the wife last night because the wife loves Kristen Wiig. Found it quite funny.

The bridal dress scene was hilarious, no question. Too bad the rest of the movie was beyond boring and unfunny. The airplane scene was decent but nothing memorable.

The movie was also about 20-30 minutes too long for what painted itself as a female Hangover. All-in-all it was decent. There were too many dragging scenes, odd scenes that lacked humor, etc. JMO.

Totally agree. That scene was just one example of one that dragged on to the point to where it turned from slightly funny to just annoying.

To be honest, I don't think I've ever once agreed with you in film and tv discussion, which is really saying alot. I mean I hate chick comedies for the most part (Mean Girls and this being the exception), but I like all of Judd Apotow's comedies to date (Funny People was just ok though), so I was definitely willing to give this film a chance solely because he put his name behind it. Not being mean, but I am not sure if I've ever really agreed with your opinion on here once.

I'm sure we've agreed on something. I was just trying to say you're hard to impress and if you thought this was one of the funniest movies you've seen in a while then it must be pretty good.

Sadly yes, but its been picked up for a 3rd season, and that will have I believe 16 episodes. Really looking forward to it.

And the admins took my avatar away, despite the fact I've had that avatar since mid-February. WTH?

EDIT: Found a new one.

The wife wanted to go. The part where they were shitting and puking in the ritzy dress shop was great. Then the bitch sat down in the street and shite in a $25,000.00 dress.

It's not your usual chick flick. There were no sing along montages, nor any random dancing scenes in a bedroom where two women fall on the bed and laugh and tell each other how pretty they really are.

Spoiler:

The Irish cop however seemed a bit out of place, and just awkward.

This was a good movie and most guys should go out of their comfort zone and see it. One of the best Judd Apatow produced movies.
