No, there are some psychos in that movie but don’t remember anything like that during the smash scenes.

Phoebe Cates is known for two things. Taking off her top and marrying Kevin Kline. For whatever reason, her topless scene became iconic in pop culture over all the other 80s topless scenes. It became the most talked about therefore the most remembered. Becoming a pop icon is nothingore than a lucky roll of the dice really. Lastly, TD has a hivemind mentality. If posters think they're expected to like something or hold a particular opinion in order to be "right" or "cool" they'll flock to it.

and while it isn't even the best rack in that movie, they were still plenty suckable. and that scene was almost exactly what you could imagine happening in high school. Hell it's probably not that far off of how most of us got that first look at tits in real life.
so she was about the most perfect actress in a near perfect scene to capture the essence of this thread.

That also makes a ton of sense. I wasnt a teenager when it happened. I can understand teens at that time remembering it. But when I see it as an adult now I think, ok, just another random set of ok boobs. I like them. I enjoy them, but I didn’t understand why they are so iconic.
To me, as a 40 year old, I still want to see Jennifer Love Hewitts fun bags, and if she ever showed them, they’d be implanted in my brain. I would also be more than happy to see Tiffani Theissens boobs today, while she’s cooking.
