I watched for about 30 minutes. It was absolutely horrible. No redeeming qualities at all.

There are some redeeming qualities. There is some fun to be had with this movie, but for me it doesn't work overall. Too much stupid and contrived moments in the movie IMO.

The movie is so insane. But it's more zany than Black comedy...like Heathers meets Tucker and Dale.

Funny story. I got my wife to watch this without telling her it was a horror movie.

Cut to the spin the bottle scene. I got a pillow thrown at me.

I liked it. Was a fun watch. Tucker and Dale was way better, but was in the same category of comedy horror.

Shaun of the dead is the category king.

Which one? There have been three. First around 74, awful movie, one around 95 and then the new one.

Spoilers

I've seen beef cattle with better self-preservation instincts than that kid. He escapes the first time and runs upstairs like a dumbass. Escapes a second time and rather than haul arse he hides in the garage, 15 feet from the house. Then after actually getting away with that he returns to the house. The house full of people trying to murder him. Gets away to the little girls house where he spends 5 minutes bullshitting and doesn't even bother to lock the door. While being chased around that house he runs past the open front door to hide in the bathroom. Escapes again and returns to his fricking house. He's in a suburban neighborhood full of people. How about hide or knock on some doors?

I get that it's just a goofy movie and I'm overthinking it but it did become annoying watching him make the worst possible choice in every situation. Just run away kid, shite.

Bitching aside, it wasn't a terrible movie. I could see teenagers enjoying it although I don't get the Tucker and Dale comparisons, other than them being sort of in the same genre.

Seeing that it was a McG film made perfect sense as the credits rolled. I've come to the opinion that I like my horror wrapped in solid comedy. The Cabin in the Woods, Zombieland, Tucker & Dale, Shaun of the Dead, etc.
