I think Stan is going to cut Nina loose.
I just find it hard to believe Larrick will be able to find Paine in PA. If he gets to her, it'll have to be at the Jennings' home, which means Henry will be witness as well.
Perhaps it will be in response to this attack that we'll see that scene with Philip and Arkady that was in the preview

Question: How did Larrick get a tracer in Jared's backpack?
How did he even know where he was?
Plus, I'm thinking he must be the one that killed the parents because why else would he be going after Jared like that?

Didn't he visit him in one of the earlier episodes this season? Posing as an FBI guy asking questions about his parents murder.

Yeah, they thought they cleared him in the murder of the family, but him putting a tracker on the kid makes it seem like it actually was him.
Someone said maybe Larrick tracks down Paige and that's what leads to the preview next week of Phil telling Arkady they're out, but I'm guessing Larrick catches Jared, maybe even kills him, and that just pushes them over the edge the way they've already been freaking out about the future. The problem is, I'm guessing you don't just quit the KGB.
Someone else mentioned maybe Phil and Elizabeth end up working with Stan after he's flipped, but I would think Arkady, Nina and Oleg would remain his handlers. In fact if those 3 did get together, maybe they'd work together to bring Arkady down so they can all get out.

I could definitely see this scenario happening. There are so many ways they could take this story.
Stan's life is falling apart. There is no telling what he might do.

Does he know she went to PA?

How would he? I'm lost on this part too. He doesn't know Phil and Liz's identities that I am aware of. (or has been shown on the show)
Oh, and this...

This discussion is from some speculation that was posted earlier.
There is no way he could know, because the only way he would know is of he knew Philip and Elizabeth's true identities and he's going a damned long way around his elbow to get to his wrist.

That's what I thought, but I had some issues with the cable box last night and missed a minute or two of the show and thought maybe I missed something about him and knowing Paige was headed to PA

@sepinwall: Just finished next week’s “Americans” season finale. Holy cow. Need some vodka, stat.

I'm expecting next week to be insane. This season has treaded water a bit, but I think it's been necessary to build up to the moment where everything comes crashing down. I think after the finale and going into next season, the lives of these characters will be drastically different.

I'm thinking the Center orders Jared killed. He's way too much of a wildcard for them. They can't afford that type of loose end. Phil and Elizabeth are already concerned about what will happen with their kids. If they find out that the KGB is likely to kill them rather than protect them, they're gonna go all kinds of Jason Bourne.

SO here are the questions that have been tripping me up. Nothing major, but if you guys have any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
1) How did Larick know about "George" in the first place? "George" has been a mystery for us all season. I don't think he was referred to at all in Season 1 and in Season 2, it was just him making the calls for assignments with what sounds like telemarketing calls. Yet Larick knows about George far more than the Jennings family.
2) Does Jared know his parents were Soviets? That's the one mystery so far. Clearly Kate told him about how they worked in a clandestine field and were murdered because they had important and ruthless enemies, and it seems as if Jared has come to believe all of this. I am assuming he knows literally everything about them at this point, but I'm not 100%.
3) Did Larick just guess that Jared was going to a train station? Seems like Elizabeth had him change and throw away his backpack at a random rest top off the interstate, so that's not a gigantic tip-off about where he was headed. Looks like he circled two locations on the map, which I am guessing were Amtrak stations or something like that. Lucky guess on his part? Loose plot device to have a showdown between Larick and Jared's handlers in New York? Or am I missing something?
4) Where the hell was Larick watching Jared from, when Elizabeth picked him up? Jared is coming out of his parents' house, which is an entirely residential neighborhood. So it couldn't be a hotel, which is the obvious choice. Was he hiding upstairs in their home? That seems kind of ridiculous, considering he had no tip-off that Elizabeth was coming to pick him up that morning.
Thanks. Finale should be great. I have been on the Americans bandwagon since Day 1, with that incredible pilot. Still the best opening episode I have ever seen, but as SFP said, I do have trouble figuring out how this can go past Season 3 while going at such a fast pace.

I'd cut a lot of things for Nina and loose isn't one of them.

I'd cut her in half if you know what i mean

BUMP since it's the day of the finale. Also in case anyone wants to answer my questions over the past couple of episodes...
