KGB agents didn't go around DC assassinating people.

The general that Elizabeth killed in the park was labeled a suicide and the FBI knew better. Take a look at all the Seth Rich conspiracies on the poli board. I wouldn’t put anything like that happening as pure fiction.

I'd rather not it its somewhat irrelevant

It was as portrayed with the Americans especially with "Illegals"like Philip and Elizabeth...way too much time
and money was invested in people like them and it was much easier to get caught committing crimes like murder
and assult.

I will somewhat clarify the statement about KGB agents
committing murder on American soil. They may have gone after ex pats and former agents but not US citizens. It still would have caused a diplomatic uproar in the cold war era though.

Other than specific "hits" (of which, I don't remember many from this show), almost all of the killings were of "necessity."

There was a couple, that old lady that was a Nazi collaborator S5 I think but yes most were mission “necessities”. And yes in “reality” that would have been a major diplomatic problem, just killing the FBI guys tailing the illegal in Chicago would have been a major incident. We have information that shows they never killed anyone in the US, yeah they did off a couple of their own in W Europe, Trotsky was killed in Mexico City but most of not all of that ended with Uncle Joe

The show was good. The finale had some Sopranos feel to it with the music and long sequences. Overall a good series.

What information do we have? What we’ve been told by our government? We aren’t that innocent either. How many times did we try to assassinate Castro? You think the Russians took a moral high ground. I’m not saying the KGB randomly killed innocent people like portrayed in the show but I can promise you people were killed during the cold war and it was covered up on both sides.

I asked you politely to take you tin foil hat crap back to the poli board, there are sources of information beyond the federal government

I’m not trying to turn this show into a conspiracy theory. You’re just not going to convince me that those things don’t actually happen in this world because you googled it. rant over. great show

I finally finished the last two episodes last night. It sucks to see every major character in a bad place, but I can’t say I’m completely shocked.

Not sure where I rank this show all time. Probably a top 5 drama for me personally. I could go as high as number 3.

First Wednesday night with no The Americans or prospects for future episodes. Kinda sad, but that's the taste every show should endeavor to leave.

I just finished up the show last night. Finale was incredibly well done and I thought the writers really hit a home run. Going out on top is something more shows should do. And also Phillip Jennings is one of the best characters in television history. Sad to see it go but will probably re watch in a few years.

Why is it the end of the Golden Age of TV? Or is this more about the streaming companies taking over from HBO and AMC?

Congratulations to The Americans for winning the Golden Globe for Best TV Drama.

The first series to ever win the award in its sixth season.

Very well deserved.
