I don't see any scenario where Ted gets back with his ex. The whole show is about growing up and moving on. I do think he goes back to the US to coach soccer somewhere, to be closer to his kid.
Also, am I the only one who is surprised how much I like the Trent Crimm character? Seems like a good example of a show recognizing they had an interesting actor in a small role and taking advantage of it.

If Ted was real an NFL team would have hired him by now.
Won DIII championship and then completely changed sports and has had success with a soccer team shows he knows how to work a lockeroom apply it to sport he knows anything about and he’s clearly an elite coach.

I definitely agree about Ted going to the US to coach soccer. Apple already has the MLS package, so I am sure they can tie that in. I'm guessing Kansas City hires him?

The ultimate redemption for Nate would be to tell Rupert to f off and go back to Ted and ask for forgiveness.
Until this happens, Nate deserves everything that comes his way.

I’d like for it to happen. I don’t think Nate is a bad person, he’s just deeply insecure likely due to a lifetime of being bullied and overlooked as well as not being able to get his father’s approval. Would love to see him introduce Jade to the diamond dogs.

frick Nate. He got up a big head of steam and shite on the one person who believed in him - Ted. Not even Nate's parents thought he was capable of doing much beyond bleaching jock straps, but he gets uppity because of a single good decision during a game.

Yeah I have a big issue with all the sympathetic Nate episodes before he makes amends with Ted.
He should be either a. the villian or b. Wracked with guilt all the time.
He’s shown some guilt but now he’s just genuinely happy.
And from a writing standpoint, no transition. Beginning of the season he literally was calling professional footballers idiots and treating them like toddlers and then poof meek Nate is back.

He can win the lottery for all I care, but nothing good needs to happen to Nate while he remains Rupert's tool to continue to try and hurt Rebecca (and by extension AFC Richmond).

I'm convinced Nate will be coaching Richmond by the time this thing ends, to complete his redemption arc. Either that, or Roy is head coach and Nate is assistant coach.

Nate has done well enough at West Ham to get another head coaching job should Rupert run him off, unless team falls off a cliff.

Last season was all about Nate gaining confidence and it manifested in a bad way and I think this season is about course correcting that newfound confidence where he's going to tell Rupert off.
If this is truly the last season, you have to imagine it's about to all come crumbling down for Rupert considering he has been the main villain the second he was introduced in season 1.

Is Rupert going to nail Jade?

Well Rupert Jade is the name of a nice little massage place in London.

I think Jade recognized exactly what he is immediately. She will barely be civil to him.
I do think Nate will have to do an active good deed to be fully redeemed. Not just move away from Rupert, but actively go against him and sacrifice himself in support of his team.

Admittedly, I haven’t frequented the M/TV board much and I only started watching TL because it was next on my list. Once I started, I absolutely couldn’t stop. I’ve binged all 3 seasons over a few days and have to say that I absolutely love this show. Top 5 for me to this point.
S1 was a masterpiece. S2 and S3 have their problems, I’ll admit, but I think the overall story is not near as bad as some on here have expressed. That being said, the show needs to end this season. They aren’t trying to adapt a book so if they try to push things into a 4th season, things will really start to go off the rails and the arcs they have been building don’t really lend themselves to more content.
While I was not a huge fan of the “political” injections in S3, I didn’t get the feeling they were really pushing an agenda. Most (with the exception of lesbo Keeley/Jack) did not drag on and helped develop the story in the end (i.e. – Sam’s Twitter war resulting in greater team bonding at Ola’s). To me, it was more about building towards everyone’s final conclusions.
My full breakdown would be WAY too long but here are my really off-the-wall predictions (primary and secondary characters only):
Ted – Beats West Ham convincingly in their rematch but ultimately loses the FA Cup (can’t have too much success now). He conquers his demons from his father’s suicide, divorce, and separation from his son and remains in England to continue coaching soccer (yes, he eventually learns the game), though not necessarily for Richmond. Segue to . . .
Michelle realizes she is a POS and begins an accelerated redemption arc and the only way to do that is to move permanently to England with Henry. Ted and Michelle remain divorced but are able to raise Henry together amicably.
Roy returns to Chelsea in a non-coaching executive role. He “settles down” finding himself a lady (none of the main characters) and ends up adopting his niece.
Beard remains with Ted wherever he goes and ends up in a very non-traditional, though healthy, permanent relationship with Jane. He is co-dependent after all.
Nate is currently in in the midst of a false redemption arc. His relationship with Jade ends when he catches her with Rupert right before the Richmond rematch and the eventual loss completely breaks him. His insecurities result in him becoming his worst self (which he’s shown flashes of throughout the show) permanently, and ultimately leaving West Ham to coach somewhere else in Europe because he will be blackballed by Rupert.
Rebecca’s personal revelation from the Dutchman episode leads her to “follow her heart” and finance/partner with Keeley’s new PR/Marketing venture. I absolutely love their interaction and dynamic and it only seems fitting they end up working together for a real “girl power” angle. She remains single and childless yet free to pursue her own happiness. She gives up a controlling stake (keeping minority ownership) in the club, transferring a majority of her shares to Leslie.
Jamie (this one’s easy) completes his redemption arc and becomes a legend in Richmond. He joins the national team and winds up making it to the World Cup finals before ultimately losing to a Nate-led team. I didn’t put too much into the “shite in nine-ing armor” bit. I read it more as knining instead. He ultimately ends up with . . .
Keeley becomes a PR/Marketing superstar with the help of Rebecca. She also ends up back with a grown-up Jamie and they live happily ever after. Nothing overly special happens outside of that. She wasn’t an overly dynamic character so there isn’t much room for her to grow or anything really major to support a huge shift in her outcome.
Sam suffers a career-ending injury (though after a heroic effort) and returns to Nigeria to become a political leader/activist with “chef” as his wife.
Nothing major happens with Dani. He’s one of my favorite characters but there just hasn’t been any real substantive storyline for him. He finishes his playing career in Richmond alongside Jamie and returns to Mexico to coach.
Collin’s newfound success on the pitch after his coming out ends up with him being traded to another elite EPL team. He later winds up on the national team with Jamie. His popularity gets him a boat load of endorsements and, after his playing days are over, uses his money to open a sports consulting firm with McAdoo and Dr. Sharon.
Trent Crimm (Independent) releases his book but it flops when it’s not the scathing expose’ people were expecting. However, the right people read it for the brilliant work it is and he gets commissioned to write biographies for the royal family.
The Diamond Dogs (minus Nate and Roy finally relents to join) remain the best of friends and get together once a year to commemorate the end of the season.

Trading isn't really a thing in soccer. Player swapping exists, but mainly, players are bought and sold.
Also, Collin is Welsh and Jamie is English, so they would play for different national teams.
