Has there been any mention of how much time has passed between the ending and this new season beginning? A time skip would make sense.

Have his kid get signed by a big club academy in the UK and Ted moves there to be closer to him and coach a women's team.

I'd bet on a real time time skip, which would make Ted's son in HS which is a...challenging set up.

But I think the clear implication is that Rebecca comes to Kansas to convince him to coach the women's team considering the rumor is the entire 1st episode will be in Kansas

If we have to have women’s soccer then I hope the show focuses on Roy Kent.

A show with Roy coaching women could be very funny.

The producer for the first two years left for the final season and it was off to the races.

Talk about not reading the room, doubling down on this stuff right now is like starting to record while you pull the pin on a grenade.

If it were well done they could probably get away with it, but it’s so heavy handed and poorly executed there is no chance it ends well.
