I thought the same. I think it’s because we’ve had no backstory for her. She’s a total mystery

This show is so fricking good. I can't remember a show since Better Call Saul that I've felt captivated by while watching. I'm almost always checking my phone when watching TV, especially during football season. I don't even think about picking it up watching Task.

Just caught up on this show. Pretty solid so far.
Going on record that I think the task force mole is the outside consultant that they brought in a few times because he's the "expert" on organized gangs in the state. He just seems a little too proper and well dressed. And the Dark Hearts went from a typical biker gang to a well run drug operation under his law enforcement watch.

I'm starting to think it could be the lady that put together the task force.

Have you watched Mare of Easttown? It's the same writer. That's a very good series too.

I thought about that too. She wants to retire, might be looking for a pay day and knows Tom isn’t up for it, throws together a crew of misfits. Could be

Wow I'm confused. How did the meet get screwed up?

Whoever is the informant for the FBI had to have tipped off the bikers, who tipped off cliff.
My off the wall theory is that Lizzie is the informant for the bikers. First episode, she was having a huge argument with what seemed like an ex on the phone. I think she’s got some ties to the dark hearts, and my off the wall theory is that Perry is her dad and Donna is her mother. I think she intentionally plays the incompetent cop.

Did you miss the part where Ruffalos boss called the bikers right after he told her he had a mole?

We don’t know who she called. Could’ve been a red herring.

How did Jay have the phone? The boss lady didn’t have it.

Another good episode. Loving the show. However, I need to bring up some slight criticisms. First, I'm bored with the daughter Emily. This characters storyline is easily the worst part of the show and it's taking away from others. Maeve, for example, has had a much smaller role the past two episodes. And I agree with you guys that the raid was confusing.

Emily sucks but the scenes are short and she’s a big part of Tom’s situation so it’s fine. The thing about the raid is the phone, how does Jay have the real phone? Task was given wrong information through the phone Aleah had then all of the sudden Jay has it and Grasso doesn’t realize he’s on a different phone? Isn’t it just common to recheck messages and things like that in a situation like this? How do you not realize you’re on a different phone and how did the real one go from Aleah’s ziplock to Jay? Do we have 2 moles in Task? Boss lady and one of the task members?

Glad I was not the only one to be like WTF? Anyway I use ChatGPT for work but I also like to talk about movies and shows. I asked about the park meeting and this is what I got:
Spoiler Alert if you don't want it explained!! Of course it could be all wrong but it makes sense to me.
Ah, got it — the park meeting shift is one of the key confusing things in that episode, and it’s meant to feel disorienting because it ties directly to the mole.
Here’s what’s happening:
How the park meet got moved
Tom’s task force set up the sting at a specific park location to intercept Cliff.
At the last minute, Cliff was redirected to a different spot. The only way this could have happened is if someone inside the task force leaked the setup (or deliberately miscommunicated it).
On-screen, you see Tom and his crew preparing, then realizing Cliff isn’t showing where they expected. Meanwhile, Robbie and Cliff are elsewhere, reacting to a new rendezvous point.
This is why Tom gets so rattled — it means the leak is very close, and their carefully controlled plan was sabotaged in real time.

The show has progressed into something very engaging. It takes a little effort to keep up with the relationships and connections among the families and gang members, but those things make it more interesting.
BTW, Ruffalo doesn’t discuss politics in the show, even though he is an FBI agent. lol

Acting is top notch across the board in this show. You care about the characters

The mole has to be grasso right? The bikers had the phone he was supposed to be texting from. I think the FBI boss making that phone call was a misdirect or she’s also involved.
Posted on 9/29/25 at 9:59 am to J_Hingle
Could be but the phone was never in his possession at the briefing. Aleah had it in an evidence bag. Maybe the boss is a mole and one of the team works for her.
Posted on 9/29/25 at 10:06 am to Madking
True but i dont know how grass wouldn’t notice the wrong phone. I believe it doesn’t even show cliff as a contact and it was him sending the “here” text that was the only message
Posted on 9/29/25 at 10:08 am to J_Hingle
That was puzzling to me as well. How do you not notice you’re using a different phone? I thought it was him early on but I think they’re trying to give us reason to suspect all of them.
